Like imagine a mod for FF7 where some characters are just arbitrarily locked out of Materia. characters are restricted to certain espers to create diversity in the cast. you're calling it arbitrary to give strago a more defined role as a mage or cyan a warrior/tank but it seems like a no brainer to me and probably to everybody else that's ever played ff vi. a ton of work has gone into this and they did a lot more than just make some "arbitrary" changes. they've fixed all the major bugs and fix any others that pop up. all the enemies/formations and boss battles have been rebalanced. the game was retranslated. there's an esper bank that lets you store and use points to get stat boosts/spells so you don't have to micromanage espers before battles (you also don't get absurdly op when you actually pay attention to your stats because the game was designed around this). i really dont understand why you're shitting on the mod. there's so much good stuff there and you clearly haven't played it. --- Ahem...there's SAND on my boots! -Kefka |

Just to get to 30, it's a stardust and huge candy investment that you'll only be able to do once unless you raid every day and catch 90% of them with your free raid pass each day. Research ones... Level 15. Even more candy needed to see them usable. Meanwhile you have stuff that can be caught or hatched more easily available and can even catch weather boosted ones up to 35. i'd argue its more of a time wall than a pay wall but to be fair MOST of the legendaries aren't head and shoulders above what you can otherwise catch in the wild/on community days. maybe origin giratina and dialga just for how tanky they are compared to the alternatives. it does make them feel special i guess. --- Ahem...there's SAND on my boots! -Kefka |
