The level variety in 2 makes it better honestly, If I had to go down one more metal corridor with 3 Vortigaunts sitting around the next corner I would have thrown my PC.

Haven't done it since I got my own computer many many years ago.

As good as the game is, I can't imagine playing it without Project Nevada after using that for a play-through. As for a build, maybe some kind of demolitionist?

The controls are some of the worst I've ever seen both on-foot and in the air, the time loop mechanic is more frustrating than interesting, the game is boringly obtuse, I don't like wandering around for hours trying to find where to go.

The only good thing I can say about it is the main theme. Thank god I got it for free.

Well from what I hear this is far more based on the novels than the video games. Those excepting Witcher 3 but as a TV show will be a bit disappointed.

Yeah it seems they for sure took Geralts appearance out of the games, and that's for the best the older illustrations of him look hideous. I wish they took appearances of other characters from the games more but w/e. There's no doubt this series exists because of the games too.

I feel like studios learned all the wrong lessons from game of thrones. They seem to think Gritty Epic Fantasy was what attracted people to the show, and not the great dramatic elements and excellent acting.

Im gonna be underwhelmed but I guess book fans might like it or something *shrug*

The books are gritty though, and most of what was shown(event wise) was quite accurate to them which is what they're going for.

The more I look at that image the more it looks like a stunt actor wearing something for a brief scene where a soldier is on fire or something rather than something thats part of the regular production, especially since the other actors on the set dont appear to be wearing anything similar

That's what I thought too when my friend linked me some screenshots of them showing it off months ago. But it doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Had a similar experience with X-2. Bought it within a month of release then saw the critics slamming it and I read some of the plot so the game literally sat on the wall unit shelf in the shrink wrap for over a year. The game was released in November 03 and I didn't open it until possibly early 05. Over a full year later.

I got the remaster for X after getting a cheap PS3 after having never played it, and I also have yet to touch X-2.

I'll sing the praises of Gears 2 and 3 all day, but if you expect them to be significantly less linear you're gonna be disappointed, you're still gonna be mostly moving from room to room killing things the whole way through.

I'm working on getting a decent PC, will still probably play console more though.

I've never seen Chick-FIl-a put significant amounts of salt on anything but the fries.

It kept the dark color scheme for a while but got less grainy with two and had some okay variety, 3 was much better about lighting and had some cool level variety. Core gameplay is always the same but they add new weapons and small features to mix things up. I think there's a good chance you'll like 2 and 3, I didn't much care for 1 either.

2 and 3 are good games( I would say 3 is great) but Judgement is abysmal and 4+5 are continuing the story for some reason when 3 was supposed to be a definitive end. Gears 4 also somehow regressed in the weapon category consisting almost exclusively of weapons from the first game and weirdly edited versions of guns from other entries.

Not dissing you but I've never saw anything really wrong with the gameplay barring control clunkiness, I wish more games had gunfights that didn't end in 20 seconds or less.

To add on to what I said about F76 glitches, I went to do an Event that typically requires 8+ people to successfully but it didn't give me the event quest, so I missed out on half the loot+ EXP.

Yeah, there's more to lose from an online game crashing or breaking. I've actually been playing it and there's things called Workshops you can claim and defend from A.I and other players if they attack, they let you farm valuable materials but if you crash you lose ownership of it and can't really join back if you're not in a group of players.

They basically transplanted Skyrim Dragons with a certain enemy type but unlike Dragons their A.I isn't set to land after some time, so you could spend an entire fight with one without it landing which is quite painful if you're a melee build. I've also sat there waiting for enemies in an event quest to spawn, enemys spawning inside geometry/buildings forcing me to fast travel and come back which costs Caps btw.

In 3, I believe, it's been stated that loot will drop for each player, so that should solve only one orange/pearl dropping.

Yeah I know, but its' something that should have been added to 2 and 1 in the remasters.

Another complaint I just remembered is the amount of walking you have to do, I think most of the time I do more walking or driving than I do shooting things.

This gen? It hasn't had an actual entry this gen yet until 3 comes out.

The loot system is outdated and frustrating especially in co-op, have fun with your friends taking the only Legendary drop. Very little in the way of storage too.

it's not that funny unless you're 12 years old.

I like the games alot believe me, I'm currently making my way through UVHM with a Commando but the games have issues.

And almost nobody downplays them, they're universally acclaimed.

It's a great game- the biggest downside is how tedious they made it, unnecessarily. The story is fantastic, though, and occasionally the gameplay feels pretty fun, although the autoaim mechanics are pretty bad, kind of like how it is in GTA V- makes the game too easy.

Then turn it off. I can't understand why people complain about this when all you have to do is look in the options to find a fix.

Yeah, it's real slow in the beginning but the main draw is the story, it helps to try and be invested in the gang.

It's not too terrible to get around after a while, but lack of warp points is probably the game's biggest weakness.

Game has warps, it's every single stag station.

Yeah, I know it has them, Im just saying they should have more. There are entire areas without one.

Yeah none of them are convenient it seems, benches aren't really either, I have to trek several screens or entire areas to get back to where I was most of the time.

Ive got the wall jump now

Starting to figure out the pattern for a lot of the enemies so its getting easier. Screw those wall things though that shoot out the homing bombs

Haha nope, I await the day disputes are removed entirely.

I think I still have one for the PS2, but it didn't have too many(Worthwhile) games supported.

I would say Germany but I don't at all like their current political situation.

Second would probably be a Northern European country.

Third would be Japan.
