4. I've Got Batman in My Basement



This episode features one of Batman's main super villains, the Penguin. The entirety of the story focused heavily on a couple of kids who take on the super villain and live to tell about it. The reason they have to fight the Penguin is because the criminal uses knockout gas on Batman who then becomes incapacitated for much of the episode.



This is one of the more cheesier episodes. It's sort of comedic watching these 13 year old kids use Batman's tools to fight against the bad guys. Also at one point Batman fights the Penguin with a screwdriver. It's a really silly fight.



While the plot was sort of entertaining, I was a little disappointed. I prefer the more serious stories when it comes to Batman. This episode reminded me of the 1960's Batman.

3. Prophecy of Doom



In this third episode of my watchthrough, Batman takes on the great Nostromos.

Not this guy.



But this guy.



Although, they both have a similar concept.

Nostromos cons old rich guys into giving him money by issuing warnings about the future. For instance, he warns one rich guy about a ship that will sink. However, Nostromos is the one who causes it to sink by placing a bomb on the ship.

The plot was entertaining, but the animation seemed really bad in this episode.

There were also questionable moments like when Bruce Wayne was trapped in an elevator, but he was able to escape by changing into his Batman suit. The thing is though is that he didn't walk into the elevator with a suitcase or anything like that. I guess you could say he was wearing the costume underneath his suit and he just ditched his clothes.

I enjoyed the story for what it was, but it's not memorable like "On Leather Wings."

One thing that was noticeable was the voice acting. In this episode Kevin Conroy stands out by changing his tone from Bruce Wayne to Batman. I love how he's able to be all chummy and happy as Bruce then switches to a more darker tone as Batman. It's really great stuff.

Are you watching these for the first time? If so, you're in for a treat.

I also love the retro fusion style of the show. They coined it "dark deco."

There's one or two appearances of blood in The New Batman Adventures, but I can't remember any other time before the style change.

No, I watched them when I was a kid. Although, there are some episodes I have never seen and I have forgotten about others.

2. The Underdwellers



I'm choosing to watch, "The Underdwellers" as my second episode.

The villain is a little underwhelming in this watchthrough. He's known as the Sewer King (reminds me of Captain Hook) and he kidnaps young kids and uses them to steal for him. He controls them through fear and his giant gators. Even though he's no Joker or Two-Face, this episode is still decent.

I've noticed they've included messages for kids in this one. At one point Batman helps one of the children and takes him to his huge mansion. The child grabs a gun owned by Bruce Wayne and points it at Wayne's butler. Batman is quick to stop him and says, "Kids and guns don't mix!" Hey, maybe kids nowadays need to hear this message again?

Overall the story isn't terrible, but it isn't great. There's some cheesy moments, but it's a show targeted for kids. However, The ending is intense when Batman almost wants to commit murder. He tells the criminal, "I don't pass sentence, that's for the courts! But this time, this time, I'm sorely tempted to do the job myself!" Wow...

1. "On Leather Wings"



Batman takes on the hideous creature known Man-Bat in this first episode of my watchthrough.

It appears a bat is attacking and stealing pharmaceutical equipment. People who've seen the suspect, describe it as looking like a "bat". This puts the hero, Batman, in the cross hairs of law enforcement. He investigates the string of robberies in order to clear his name and to take down the criminal.

I really enjoyed this episode. The entire setting is a fusion of the past and future. If you take a look at the cars it almost seems like something out of the 1950's, but the police blimp and equipment makes it look like something from the future.



The fight between Man-Bat and Batman is also entertaining. It's fun to see the hero hang on for dear life as the creature takes him on a ride throughout Gotham City.



After the fight is over, Batman is left tired and bleeding. I hear this is the first and last episode to include blood. It's a shame the creators were held back from telling their story, but they still did a good job.

I also loved the music in this episode. It went perfectly well as Man-Bat flew across the night.

This is a good start to the series.

The guy who ragged on Obama for using a teleprompter has to rely on a teleprompter and Toledo wasn't even on the teleprompter.

I still hate them for canceling Friends from College and letting it end with a cliffhanger. At least let the creators give the series a proper ending.

In Red Dead Redemption I could have sworn the yelp sound after you kill someone sounds exactly the same as the yelp sound from the Storm Troopers in a New Hope.

It sucks you can't play co-op offline.

I think origins is the worst Arkham game, but I did enjoy the boss battles.

Arkham City is still the best for me.

It's a toss up between Asylum and Knight for the number 2 spot.

He's rich, so he probably has his own island where he invites lucky winners to eat and dine with him. Then later on he invites them outside and says let's play a hunting game. I'll shoot and you run.

If this guy is a typical Trump supporter I can see Trump saying it's not my fault. I don't control anything they say or do.

He doesn't understand how powerful words are.

Wasnt the other guy at the Garlic festival a Trump supporter?

Yeah, America is too far gone. No more taking guns away because anyone can get a gun anywhere now. Only solution is arming everyone like the wild west days.

Other people started rumors online that other malls and Wal-Marts had shooters.

Not sure if these people are seeking attention or working with the shooter. Probably testing police response time.
