Haven't seen Monster yet. Read the 1st chapter awhile back after reading 20th Century Boys but I think I needed a break after that. I should get back into that as it's been...many years since I read that.

Perhaps Steins;Gate will be the next anime to get its due!

I forgot to mention this during the draft but I remember KCF being surprised that, in 11 drafts, we have had a different team pick #1 overall every year so far. Well it's actually happened recently in real life too!

Starting with the Raiders in 2007, a different team got the #1 pick up till 2018 when the Browns ruined it by getting back to back number 1 picks. The Rams may have picked twice at #1 in that time frame but remember that in 2016 they traded up into that spot with the Titans who originally had the pick. I'm not positive but I believe this is the longest stretch in the NFL where a different team had the #1 overall pick, at least originally.

Wonder if our streak ends this year or we break the real life streak!

Haha can't wait to see it! It's just a fun exercise I started doing after repeatedly drafting in the Top 10 and wanted to see who I thought would fall to me. It was a lot of fun so I just ended up doing the whole round and now I do it every year!

My mock for everyone's viewing pleasure. Unlike in years past I think the beginning of this round is very fuzzy and it reflects in what picks Shattered and I came up with...though strangely we agreed on our Dolphins picks!

Mm. Yeah I don't think I'll be home in time for Sunday so A works best for me I think but I might still be able to make B work if we go with that.

Fucking hell. Maybe by the time this contest is run next year, I'll finally be off night shift and will be able to participate in these final rounds. =/

I remember I was getting all the support convos for FE7. I was on my last playthrough where I needed a couple more with some characters and Renault. Got up to the Sonia chapter, went to eat dinner, and when I came back my game had reset itself. Lost everything and was going to have to play through Lyn's mode again and bleh. Raged quit the game for like a year and a half before I went back to it. At that point I did it the easy way where I would just kill off a character to reset the supports of a living character. Doing it that way it only took like 3-5 playthroughs and was a lot less time consuming. Albeit it didn't feel good morally. >_>

FE8 didn't take that long due to the tower as has been mentioned. And Awakening was fairly easy as well thanks to casual mode and not really having to have my brain on for it. Fates is trash and hardly any of the characters interested me so I didn't bother with their supports. While everyone seems to like the support system in 9, it wasn't my cup of tea and couldn't be bothered actually using characters I didn't want to use for a set amount of chapters.

...The Titans of all teams have holdouts? Man, I leave them in the AI's control for one season and the players think that without my iron fist guiding them they can demand whatever they want? How bold of them.

If Cushing is one of those players then that one's not on me as I didn't sign him to his current deal. Of the other players that I could see holding out...yeah those are probably on me. KCF said in his little blurb during signups that the Titans were a true project for a reason!

...Huh. Oh yeah I did lol. I totally forgot about that since it was so inconsequential to me. I don't even remember what I got since I don't seem to have the PMs past the initial talks or we took it to the spreadsheet.

To me a sign and trade has always been a 1 year deal so it was surprising to me that you were including multi-year deals in that category. But if you're really worried about users trying to circumvent the sign+trade with multi year deals then that seems like a fair compromise to me.

That sounds cumbersome but if you want to do that alrighty.

To be clear I am in favor of eliminating the sign and trades. I was on the fence but your arguments were persuasive and I found myself agreeing with a lot of what you said.

What I am not in favor of is when, in the middle of the season, Player X is put on the trading block and having my resources in acquiring that player limited because I didn't know Player X was going to be available. Thus altering the plans I had for Player Y who I just signed and who the user offering up Player X may be interested in. Yeah other people may be in the same boat but it feels to me like you gotta hope you have the assets to acquire Player X while getting lucky you didn't just sign the positions that the person is looking for. *shrug*

So I'm currently shopping a player from my team to other teams. If this were happening next year during the season I'd basically have to begin every negotiation with "who were your FAs that you signed this year" so that I know they are off limits because I'm definitely not going to pay attention to other team's free agents and they would fall under this new rule. Is that correct?

Very close. Seeing as someone could theoretically do a backdoor deal that would come my way as soon as the regular season is to begin, it makes more sense to not allow teams to trade a player signed during the season they were signed (RFA phase 1 players exempted).

Wait so I have approximately 1/3rd of my roster set for free agency next year. Am I to believe that should I sign all of my free agents next year that 1/3rd of my roster will be off limits in trade discussions next year? Because unless I'm reading this wrong, that's what this sounds like to me.

Given Crawford's concussion history and the extensive time he's missed the last 2 years, it's probably going to be more of a tandem situation between him and Lehner. He does have a modified NMC so he still could get traded I guess but I doubt it. Perhaps after this year they'll resign Lehner to be the guy if he plays as well as he did last year. Could be their buying time to see if Delia becomes a quality NHL goalie too.

I dunno, seems weird at first but I can see the logic in it for us.
