Got to play 2-player with someone once, but never had the adapter for a third player. When Super Bomberman came out, I absolutely had to have it, because it had 4-players with the Super Multi-Tap, and that was a huge deal. That game became THE most commonly played game when my friends would come over. Why would we play something with less than 4 players? And it remained the most played, until Super Bomberman 2 came out. Loved Bomberman 64, and recently got Super Bomberman R. | Kisai 06/17/19 1:32:42 AM #1 | Seriously, Konami, stop this. I did the math regarding all this. In the shop, there are 3 main sections. Accessories, characters, and stages. Stages can be worth 4000 or 2500. Characters can be worth 10 or 1000. Accessories have a range from 500 to 10000, because accessories have 10 different tiers. Starting from tier 1 at 500, and ending at tier 10 with 10000. Now keep in mind, the fastest way to grind is with the power stage. 1 match, 1 CPU. The power stage has no destructible blocks, and everyone starts off fully powered. You just make a line of bombs as you run down to the lower left corner, then another line of bombs as you run to the lower right corner, letting yourself get killed by the CPU. You have to have at least 13 bombs explode, and get killed by the CPU in order to earn 150 G. And that's the most you can earn each match. It doesn't matter how many rounds the match goes for, how long it lasts, how much action occurred... Not like Smash Bros., no. You get a flat 150 G no matter what. Taking a look at the accessories first... 10000 + 8000 + 4000 + 2000 + 1500 + 1000 + 750 + 500 = 27750. 27750 to get all tiers of a single accessory's category. There are 38 categories, however, so... 27750 * 38 = 1,054,500 That's over 1 million G... Moving onto the other characters... There are 9 characters worth 10 G. 10 * 9 = 90 17 characters worth 1000 G. 1000 * 17 = 17,000 14 stages worth 4000 G. 4000 * 14 = 56,000 And 8 special stages worth 2500 G. 2500 * 8 = 20,000 Oh, plus, when you beat the game you unlock 5 bosses worth 5000 G each. 5000 * 5 = 25,000 And one additional character worth 30000 G. So in total... 90 + 17000 + 56000 + 20000 + 25000 + 30000 + 1054500 = 1,202,590 G That is insane. But, how many times do you have to farm in battle mode with the setup we have? 1202590 / 150 = 8018 (rounded up) 8018 times... That's a lot of monotonous farming. I timed how long it takes to do one battle, with the load time for restarting the match included. It's roughly 20 seconds. Which doesn't sound that bad at first... However... 8017 * 20 = 160,340 That's a lot of seconds. But how long is 160,340 seconds exactly? 1 day 20 hours 32 minutes 20 seconds. That's how much time total you would need to grind using the most efficient method available in order to finally buy everything from the shop. I can't even stand doing it for 30 minutes straight, let alone an hour or two every now and then. This is almost as bad as the grinding for Bomberman Ultra. Why can't Konami just NOT have anything locked, and give us everything at the start? None of the grinding in their Bomberman games is pleasant. It's not necessary. Honestly, it almost makes me want to hack my Switch just to unlock everything, but I have no idea how I would do that for this game specifically. Plus, if I do that, I can't ever go online again using my Switch, and I don't feel like sacrificing that. But seriously, why make it such a grind? --- WHO MODS THE MODERATORS? |
