Ayla for boss stealing and raw power, Robo for AoE heal. They all do AoE damage and have good double techs. The triple tech is rather weak but tbh most triple techs are inferior to double tech+single action.

From a design perspective it's kinda clever how they use some fights/dungeons to force you outside of your class comfort zone (4x mini squad...).

That said, ff3 is ff5 but worse in about every way. I much prefer carryover and learning from my job changing; in FF3 the only thing that stuck with you from white mage to knight (e.g.) was your HP gained.

My favorite is often the hybrid-types like Geomancers, Spellswords or Red Mages. Blue mage is kinda like that but they have a strong emphasis on monsters which I don't care much about.

That thing was so amazing. I mean, it's terrible to be 30 minutes into the fight and you're about to engage the final wave and then, poop, someone got gibbed -> reset.

Being able to reset until start of previous turn was such a saver. RNG tables were already set so it's not like I can reset until the dice go my way.

Even moreso when the fights are designed with this mechanic in mind.

There needs to be safeguards in place so someone can't game the system by never paying for insurance, suddenly hopping on when they need it after the fact, and hoping to get full coverage.

About 10, I'd say. They're rarely sustainable.
