For anyone who isn't familiar, Designated Survivor is this show where some terrorists blow up the Capitol during State of the Union, killing POTUS, Vice President, Congress, and the Supreme Court all at once. The Secretary of Urban Development who was designated survivor becomes president.

By the beginning of the second season, the president goes from a nerd who everyone treats as a joke to a super-competent and widely respected leader, the terrorist mystery is resolved and every antagonist is dead and buried (with the main antagonist dying early in the second with only a few appearances beforehand), and the entire federal government is already up and running like clockwork. The capitol is already fixed, too.

That's like an entire series worth of development crammed into one season. What a waste...
