PK Subban literally has 6 points in 34 games. And before you even give me "Well yeah the Devils are bad, what do you expect?" note that this places him 15th among Devils skaters, and 4th among Devils defensemen. He literally has fewer points than Damon Severson.

I'm struggling to think of a superstar in recent memory who has fallen offer faster and harder than this, absent some fluke injury or weird personal life circumstance (like Dany Heatley murdering one of his teammates)

I dont necessarily agree with the length of the sentence, but is your stance on theft really if youre forced to replace it no harm, no foul?

In general, justice should be about compensation more than anything else.

If you wanted to make it something like "You pay double, once to compensate for the item and once again as punishment" I'd be fine with that.

But in no sane universe should the fine for stealing a $20 item be anything more than like $100.

Remember, in progressive San Francisco, if you steal anything less than $1,000 they won't even bother to charge you.

Also the Farabee suspension is a freaking joke. The hit was a little late (but I've seen many later), and a little high (but wasn't to the head), and honestly, I'm not even sure it deserves to be a major. If Perreault gets right back up and skates it definitely wouldn't have been.

From my understanding, the entire case was completely derailed because the medic told prosecutors he could corroborate all the awful shit the guy did in exchange for immunity, then got on the stand and specifically contradicted one unexpected detail which made it legally hard to convict.
