The Evil Within[PS3]: I picked this up and have been playing it over the last several days, reaching part way into Chapter 6. The game is tough, I've lost count of how many times I've died so far, but it's plenty. Managing ammo is crucial, since it is pretty scarce in the beginning. Unfortunately, the game restricts how much you can stockpile unless you forgo other attributes in favor of ammo stock upgrades using the game's upgrade system. That's where I put my focus on so far, upgrading the stock values to max for both handgun and shotgun ammo, and then reserved additional upgrade points for matches as well. Matches are necessary, either burning enemy bodies so they don't get back up, or situational moments where a patch of oil on the ground can be used to take down enemies with a single match instead of using precious ammo. In addition to those upgrades, I so far managed to have enough points for a single upgrade to weapon attack power for both the handgun and shotgun too. With the game's stealth mechanic, ammo can be conserved by giving the player to the opportunity to sneak behind normal enemies and be rewarded with an stealth instant kill opportunity. --- Warning, the self-destruct system has been activated, all personnel should evacuate immediately, 5 minutes to detonation. |
