The three quotes in the screenshots shown arent even loli.
One is that 16 year olds look different depending on the art style-a neutral and true statement.
One is that underage romance and innuendos are meant for an underage audience, not for 30 year old manchildren- a neutral and true statement.
Last one is that pedophiles cant control what they are. Unless you consider doctors and researchers pro-pedophilia this is just a matter of fact. They even say it shouldnt be promoted so its unlikely the context is that theyre using it to justify pedophilia as normal or healthy.

Raising a ruckus over these non-issues is exactly the type of overblown knee-jerk outrage resetera is known for so this is deliciously ironic for them.

Of course, if there were actually worse things in the thread, then this post is irrelevant. But I havent seen any worse screenshots yet.

The thing is, the leaders/mods didn't want to listen, or explain, until it was too late, of course. They just locked the topics down of people who wanted to know what was going on, banned them, and even went as far as changing their usernames to hide. To alot of people, these actions make you look guilty as fuck. And I don't blame those people at all for thinking that.

Yonicboom! It's good to see you, you haven't been around lately

Been too busy with work and enjoying Japanese to post here much. Feels like Japanese has "settled down" a lot for me lately which is nice, not having to think so much about it, and subsequently it not being something I feel the need to have to talk a whole bunch about. Not saying I'm not still learning new stuff every day, but I've slowed it down a bit for the sake of actually having a good time with it most of the time rather than trying to "make the most of" every thing/study all the damn time.

Not sure. I've only reached volume 8 of the first Tokyo Ghoul series. There's also Tokyo Ghoul;re, which is the sequel. Don't know if it's finished or on-going.

Anyway, reading Claymore right now. My reading speed has leveled up. Up to volume 6 already, and I started reading it only two days ago.

Started playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance because I was curious to see if there were any differences from the English version which I played a loooooooooooong ass time ago.

So far, only a handful of notable differences.

For one, Mewt's dad is staggering ass drunk in the scene where you meet him for the first time, pretty sure he was just feeling down for some reason or another in the English version.

Biggest difference I've seen in my first hour of so of play is... I don't remember these laws being in the game at all.

"Penalty for recovering HP if the amount is less than 50 points." (lit. if the amount doesn't exceed 50)


"Penalty for dealing damage greater than 20 points." (lit. if the amount is not less than 20 points)

It's no surprise why those were removed from the English game, unless my memory is just awful.

Nah, really just to try to improve my reading speed and my understanding of the language without kanji to help know the meaning. Don't know how far I'll get into the game before getting bored, though. I've played it like three or four times in the past, and getting through some parts of the game is a slog.

Plus, I'm getting really into the Tokyo Ghoul manga, so it's tough to go out of my way to read something else right now. Especially since I keep seeing all those "don't bother learning this word in kanji because nobody writes them in kanji" words written in kanji, and I can read them all because I didn't bother listening to those fools, so ha.

Examples of these words include , , , , and so forth.

Trying out Paper Mario TTYD. Holy shit it's hard reading text with this few kanji.

Mostly dumb stuff like the moon symbol on blocks/mirror shield being replaced, the chanting in the Fire Temple music being replaced, Ganondorf coughing up green rather than red blood upon beating his first form, etc. Nothing earth-shattering.

Dialog was basically unchanged. Some of it definitely reads better in Japanese, while other parts read better in English. Localization crew did a nice job, you're not missing anything by playing it in English.

As expected, the N64 version is much more pleasant. Plus it let's me try out the uncensored 1.1 version.

Managed to get an undubbed FFX International version as well. I can't believe they didn't include Japanese VA in the International version even though they have Japanese text.

EDIT: God DAMMIT! The subs are a translation of the English dub, not a transcript of the Japanese one! Gonna have to get the original.

enjoy stuff for real in it, the "overworking" thing becomes minimal.
