The Indianapolis officer told the men he didnt know Jones, but that he saw no reason why they had been stopped, and that Jones was required to identify himself.

Yes. Even if there was someone here so messed up that he said he loved Hitler and his genocide, you can't call him a piece of shit. Hell, considering how strict the flaming rules have gotten, I bet you couldn't even call him a bad person.

You can say that you disagree with his opinion, or you can say that it's a bad opinion. But you can't insult the user himself. That's why it's against the rules to call someone a troll, but acceptable to say that they're trolling.

That's the very reason I voted for the cash

He can get drunk. Also, as good as the heightened senses/healing/age slowing would be, it doesn't give you the badass fighting skills that Wolverine has. Also, something that people seem to be forgetting is that his healing does NOT suppress pain. An example is that actually feels a quick bit of pain when he extends his claws and they break his skin.

So I mean you could easily make more than $50 million with his powers, even if you can't fight like him, but it would likely come with the price of some hurt.

To a normal person, respect is simply being treated with the same basic dignity and decency that youd want to be treated with.

To a cop, respect is submit immediately and completely to my authority so when the evil bad sandwich eater didnt immediately strip naked, bend over, and spread his cheeks as soon as the cop laid eyes on him, that was the ultimate breach.

Is there a full video of this? Did the cop just go up and grab his bag? Or did he tell him that its against the rules to eat or drink there first? Because its leaving a lot to the imagination. Since you know, this guy isnt showing much respect either, so it helps to know if thats in response to the cop being a dick first, or if he was just disrespectful to the rules.

But then once again, that boils down to the makers of the laws. They need to make and tweak the laws to make them more just; cops cant just say this is wrong so Im gonna disobey direct orders, get fired, and leave my family homeless.

And Im not arguing that some of the cops take please in abusing their fellow man; they are indeed bastards. My question was why people say ALL cops are bastards, because thats obviously an overstatement. Some people need a job immediately and they get accepted by the police force first. They might not have the luxury of saying Im going to wait and see if a job at Fight Climate Change Co. opens up. Thats just saying that people who are forced to do something are bad.

Cops don't make the laws. If you're not going to blame every politician (including liberal politicians) who creates or allows "cruel and wicked" laws to exist, don't signal out the cops.

I do, I blame every single one of them. But those laws mean nothing if there isn't a force of willing people to enforce them.

So you want no one to enforce the laws, AKA no cops?

Robert Higgs pretty much laid it out as follows.
"A cop's job is to enforce the laws, all of them;

Many of the laws are manifestly unjust, and some are even cruel and wicked;

Therefore every cop has to agree to act as an enforcer for laws that are manifestly unjust or even cruel and wicked. "

The cops exist to protect the status quo for people who write the laws. The people who write the laws are owned by the rich. The entire system is designed to keep poor people in their place. The cops won't force your landlord to fix their property but they will evict you (in states where criminal eviction is a thing) for not paying the rent because the landlord won't fix something. They'll arrest you for illegal possession of painkillers that you are hooked on, but they haven't arrested anyone yet in the pharmaceutical industry even though it's now been proven (like tobacco companies) that they knew how addictive and awful for people they were and covered it up.

You could argue "well that's just the way the system is" and you'd be right. But cops willingly choose to sign on to enforce an immoral and unethical status quo and because of that there are no good cops. There are cops who maybe good people otherwise, but there are no good cops.

Stupid phone doing a double quote.

Anyway, I was saying that if people wanted to be good, there would be literally no cops

The New York Police Department said in a statement shared with The Post early Monday that a witness near Atlantic and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn told officers that Napier had a gun around 4:40 p.m. Friday. Officers first tried to approach the 19-year-old a short time later, NYPD said, but he fled into the Pacific Street subway station. Napier allegedly slipped past the turnstile and boarded a southbound train. At least 10 officers were waiting at the Franklin Avenue station when the train pulled in.

This is why they had guns drawn. which makes sense. The topic title and headline makes it out sound like they swarmed him with guns for skipping a fare

But he didnt have a gun and the witness was incorrect. Why are you ignoring that part and going straight to defending their actions?

Why are you ignoring the fact that it was reported that he had a gun and ran away from the police? If someone calls the cops about a guy with a weapon, they need to take it seriously. They can't be all "Oh they might be mistaken, we can just be chill about it". Especially when he tries to run away from them.

I saw the main movies and the prequels at least once, and I think the first and second remakes? Or whatever you call the newest ones.

The fact of the matter is that she's just not "well-known". Most people know Star Wars for its live action movies and not the cartoon, so the characters who are memorable will tend to be from the former.
