How often do TV ads actually work anyway?

Usually the only ads that make me interested at all are ones like Flextape and Shamwow, but it's hit or miss if those are even good products. If I see a Flex Tape commercial and want tape like that, I'll just look on Amazon for the best-reviewed tape and get that.

I guarantee you I'll never buy fast food, a car, jewelry, etc. because of a commercial. I will specifically avoid certain car insurance brands if possible because of their commercials.

whenever I eat out somewhere which is hardly ever I only know what to order because of commercials. does that count as effective

I think I figured it out.
"repellent" in super scribblenauts is a noun which is used to frighten zombies and sharks, for whatever reason. using the item on either of these kills them.
in this case, "human" is used as an adjective, shorthand for anthropomorphized, more or less. I didn't notice until after I made the topic that the "human repellent" bottles were dying when they went to go pick up another (group of) bottle(s). further reading reveals that anything with the "human" adjective will always want to pick up and use items.

in online gams "gg" is absolutely redundant and getting your panties in a twist over someone not saying it means you're a pox upon online gamming or you're made someone is indirectly calling you out on cheap tactics/smurfing. honestly I'm sick of "gg" being akin to "goodbye" when playing gams online, to say any and all gams played to completion is gg, is not g, it's b, and overall lessens the meaning of what it takes to be gg.
