The Genesis and N64 aren't comparably popular. The Genesis is probably closer to the WiiU.

It was more of Genesis vs. SNES. The N64 was battling the PS1 in their generational cycle

4 > NV > 2 > 3, all fairly close.

Didn't play enough of 1. 4 wins because of the Settlements. Even without that, it still had better followers than 3, and maybe even NV.

Super Mario Land should have been in this poll and in the Gamefaqs main poll. My favorite Mario game ever.

All the SML games are underrated, but the first definitely isnt considered top tier

SMO = SMW > SM64 > NSMB > SMB3 > SMB

The rest I haven't played enough to really say.

Also where's Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros.? I don't think NSMB would get many votes but forgetting Sunshine? That's a travesty.

Like I said, opinions are a bit more split on that one, and I'm taking consensus here. Granted it did do better in the poll today than some others I included, but that might be part of the mixed opinions (it's average score on gamefaqs is lower than the others)

Whenever the question is asked "am I the only one?" the answer is always no. Also some folk like to dislike what's popular for reasons and not every game is for everyone.

Of course, but it seems hype is overwhelmingly positive and so far it seems well done but nothing particularly special.

It was announced 4 years ago. I don't want them to rush it, but I do think the whole "be patient" mentality about game releases is starting to approach the extreme, especially when the wait often isn't warranted

I used "From Justin 2 Krelian" as a reference to Justin 2 Kelly and Xenogears on another board where pretty much everyone would get the reference, I just reused it as a shorter version here a few years later.

Because too much time has passed. I've got mario and luigi bowser's inside story which released 10 years ago on the DS that I never completed. But now I'm just kinda over most video games and can't go back to handheld DS.

This seems to happen more often with a backlog of video games. Eventually too much time passes and you just never play it. That ever happen to you?

Funny, I also lost interest in that game early on.

I've been doing this more lately though. Last fall I had 4 active games and just decided to take a break from all of them. I still haven't really gotten back into it.
