Friday I was at a convenience store and the two women behind the counter were asking me about my tattoos (one of the ladies wanted to get one). Was offering general encouragement and suggestions for artists. I mentioned I started getting mine done 7 years ago and one woman said "excuse me? They tattoo 12 year olds now?" She asked if it was ok to ask how old I was and I said 32, she thought I was at least a decade younger One other time I handed my ID to a store clerk and he looked at it, then at me, and said "no." "No?" "There's no way you were born then" I showed him another piece of ID. Clerk was 6 years younger but looked a lot older than I did. He didn't think my ID was fake he was just sad. Oof --- Never write off the Doctor! |

Careless writing is pushing characters to do stupid shit to hyper advance the plot. Episode 3 was a hard to see letdown, the second half of episode 4 was straight up terrible If you're going to plan out grand battles you should at least be required to pass a strategy game tutorial level or something I'll be hate watching the last two episodes --- Never write off the Doctor! |

Most servers work split or half shifts, which still takes up a whole day in terms of availability, but now you're paid for only part of it. Shifts get cut all the time, last minute. You could have been doing something else (or probably picked up a shift elsewhere) You can't rely on any stable hourly so tips need to make up the difference. For some it works out well. For others it's really not much above minimum wage in the end. And all those folks working places where tipped positions can be paid below normal minimum, yeah, they need it more --- Never write off the Doctor! |
