This is exactly what I did for a general use laptop, with a good spec ThinkPad.

Weirds me out a bit. Even directly from Lenovo. Its not like I can replace parts if something caused unrelated pieces to become damaged.

It's super easy. I've swapped out hard drives for SSDs in several laptops. Really hard to mess it up ime and worth doing to save on the markup

Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. A follower of the diet or the philosophy is known as a vegan

Veganism relates specifically to your personal relationship with non human animals so as long as you're proceeding with a consenting adult human you're good. Don't take semen from non human animals

No thanks. Vegan meat is just a bunch of highly processed soy products (typically), packed with artificial flavors. I just fail to see the nutritional benefit of eating it over natural meat. Unless someone is swearing off animal products, I just dont see the point in eating it.

There are some benefits. There's no cholesterol, tends to be low fat and very low saturated fat, and there's also fiber which 97% of Americans are deficient in. Soy is pretty healthy to boot (in moderation like any of these products should be consumed in).

Oh and it tastes good without needing to eat an animal which is lovely. I used to frequent vegetarian places long before making the switch because that veg meat is so dang tasty. The it tastes good should be reason enough honestly. You shouldn't be eating it every meal, but people shouldn't be eating meat every day let alone as often as they do.

I know people eat meat because they like the taste in spite of the harm it requires. I prefer to eat something that tastes good without that additional exploitation. Nothing is ethical under late capitalism but some things are definitely worse

Grischnak posted...
Plant "meat"? Different "cuts"? Now you're just using words improperly. Vegan meat substitutes are made with soy and stuff. They aren't actually "meat" and they don't have different "cuts". It's more like baking a cake then butchering an animal

Meat doesn't require animal flesh. Coconut meat, nut meat, mincemeat. Milk and butter are also terms that don't require animal products

The butchers do have different cuts. Heck they make legit sausage with casing (Vegan of course)

I think you all would benefit from a trip to a vegan butcher because you seem to not understand the variety of vegan meats and think it's all soy loaves. you've never heard of our Lord and Savior Seitan

Instead of tossing them I keep vegetable scraps in a bag in the freezer and then just make stock with it whenever I have enough. Anything goes

If I make a stock from nothing my go to is leek, onion, peppercorn, bay leaf, carrot, celery, dried mushrooms, and fresh thyme and parsley

Protip: use roasted vegetables to make stock with more complex flavor. omg I char the shit out of my ginger and onions for making pho stock

There's a vegan butcher a few blocks from my house, they make good stuff.

The idea of a vegan butcher might not make sense if you haven't eaten a variety of vegan meats, but they're made with different textures, flavors, and shapes. Each tailored for different cooking methods. Examples of stuff at the vegan butcher:
-Pepperoni
-Ginger Beef
-Chicken Breasts
-Bacon
-Ham
-Sausage rolls
-Burgers
-Steak
-Deli cuts

You use them like normal. They're just crafted and cooked instead of killed and carved.

It's a little spendy so I don't have it super often. From what I've seen animal meat is more costly these days. I'm cheap and I like beans and lentils so veg meat is a treat

Why doesn't she divorce him doe?

She may. A coworker of mine recently came to the realization her husband of ten years was emotionally abusive and that he has no intention to change and moved out and filed papers like a week later. Not everyone can just sever an old relationship like that. Sometimes you've got to come to the realization that your partner is trash on your own and then decide you want to do something about it. It can take years.

When I took a group therapy class for assertiveness, no joke 1/3 of the relationships people were in ended during the 2 months of sessions. shit was wild. People don't always have a way to leave.

Women, especially older women, tolerate all kinds of shit to live. I couldn't fathom dealing with some of the awful behavior they've always been expected to deal with, and they haven't always had the option of walking away.

Hornets and wasps can also call on their nests to attack or defend. If you squish them or they sting you, either way, they're letting others know you're a target

Most iPods had more storage than any current phone could hope to have

My years old phone has 128GB built in, which is substantially more than anything offered in an iPod when the og zune was a thing. Only one model the largest capacity classic released 3 years after the zune tops that storage, barely, on a slow hard drive to boot

I liked my zune, the software played better in Windows than iTunes did. I liked my iPod a lot when I had a Mac. Things work better with what they're made to be used with. iTunes was not made with Windows in mind.

Is this a flex that you had money for the highest grade phone? The phone's I had until 2011 were very small on the storage space

?

Smart phones as you know them didn't exist when the zune launched

You didn't specify phone from 2006 because yeah no kidding most devices then didn't have that kind of capacity. Bolded your words
