There's no way even 2000 pokemon is too much for today's hardware.

Lots of them probably use the same skeletons and no one would complain about reused animations for similar lookomg pokes.

Aren't these models basically the same as the ones used in the 3DS games? Just higher quality? I'm not saying it still wouldn't be a lot of work, but it seems feasible.

Played the Link's Awakening demo. The graphical style is neat, and remastered music is amazing. Aside from that it's basically the same game. Enemy AI is better, they react to sound and stuff. Overworld is seamless, but the framerate chugs when in open areas because of it. I hope they work on that before release.

But the best thing about the demo are these little dioramas they set up all over the booth:

Look at the credits of Pokemon game and you'll see their development staff size is relatively low, compared to other big name titles. It's bizarre.

Honestly I'd be worried about what the work environment is like there. If any studio needed an expansion it's them.
