When I think of family, I think of my nuclear family. My relatives would make up my extended family. So yes. | The Kyster 07 12/16/18 5:46:30 PM #1 | Are you traveling for Christmas this year? Yes...Well, sort of. Unfortunately, I still live with them, so to "travel" to them, I only need to travel from my bedroom to the living room. I know that it's really considered traveling, but they didn't have an option that read "No, I still live with my parents but I'm not going anywhere" or "No, I still live with my parents but I will be traveling to my relatives" The last option is what I'll be doing. With my family, I will be traveling a short distance (about 9 miles) to my relatives to celebrate Christmas with them after we have our family Christmas at home. I'm not staying with them, since I'm only a short distance away from home. Why does this poll assume that everyone would be traveling to their parents? What if they still live with them? | The Kyster 07 11/24/18 10:19:10 AM #8 | I guess it just comes down to tradition. Christmas has been celebrated for hundreds of years and I am among some that want to keep that tradition alive. Commercialized or not, Christmas is here to stay. As far as I know, I know that I'm not going to buy any gifts for Boxing Day or New Year's...Christmas is the only "holiday" that I'm buying gifts for. But I digress.
