i wish they talked more about why the top 3 is their top 3, but yeah, brad is just such a force in these proceedings that whatever game he's obsessed with will dominate the discussion every single time.

way off the mark with how i thought they felt about celeste based on my initial predictions! didn't even crack the top 10. i also thought their general "okayness" with spider-man was going to make it the uncharted 4 of this year, but brad, and abby to a lesser extent, surprised me in their support of it.

second year in a row where their goty is a game i haven't played and maybe never will!

nah, hollow knight ain't cutting it because they are all fools.

dan didn't like the map system and backtracking. he dropped it after 10 or so hours.

ben liked it more, but also grew tired of how unforgiving it is. i think he stopped about halfway through.

abby, alex and jason gave it a legit shot last year, and none of them stuck with it. i vaguely remember abby giving it another go on the switch, but didn't hear her talk about it again. maybe jan also mentioned playing it on the switch, but yeah, no recollection of him praising it.

i listen to music every single day, it's the one medium that affects me without fail, and i can't imagine life without it, but i don't really even consider it a hobby. i listen to music while working, commuting, and sometimes even while playing video games! i even like a number of movie and video game soundtracks! maybe if i were making music, i'd consider it a hobby.

Haven't been able to play as many new games this year unfortunately, so I've only finished two 2018 indie titles.

Dead Cells is great. Beat it multiple times on the normal difficulty and once on hard. I do think I've hit my skill/patience ceiling on it when I gave the 2-cell difficulty a try.

Donut County is chill and funny. Will probably go back to it next year for that platinum trophy!

Vampyr is up next for me once I finish RDR2. That counts as an indie game, yeah?

Will definitely get Celeste, Into the Breach, and Florence before the year is through.

If my crummy laptop can run it, I'll get Return of the Obra Dinn.

If I have the time, I'll check out Iconoclasts, The Missing, Paratopic, Red Strings Club, and A Case of Distrust.

I really like Guacamelee 1, so I might pick uo 2 if it's on sale for a good price.

I put Wandersong and The Low Road on this list of 2018 indie games I wanna check out, but they're not priorities.

oh and uh yeah Hollow Knight is my retroactive 2017 GOTY and my 2018 GOTY because i don't care jeez what an amazing game
