Maybe Arthur Morgan should come in for a bonus battle and collect his bounty. Red Dead 2 makes BOTW look mediocre. The picture would have to be that awesome box art with him holding the gun.

Although I have not beaten either yet, I have to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 is waaay more fun than Breath of the Wild.

For me personally it was just being at Paul Konerko's last game after a life of playing for one team, the White Sox. I watched as he drew his kids initials in the dirt while the umpire allowed it.

I also brought my dog to the game in 2016 where we set the record for most dogs at a sporting event with 1,122.

... pick Alucard. Looking at the contest stats seeing less than 10% predicted Alucard winning division. For many of the early tournaments he would annihilate my bracket. I got the message, played SOTN on PS1, and realized why he is so awesome.

What is the one lesson you learned from past brackets?

I might be the most "slow and steady" user out there, mainly posting only during the tournaments.

I think it is safe to say MM vs Pikachu is a Western vs Eastern thing. California, Oregon, Washington all went Pikachu and Japan and other eastern countries are as well.

Just checked Mega Man would have won over Pikachu from the state heap map results 366-172 had it been decided U.S. presidential style.

The state by state heat map is interesting. Only 12 states picked Pikachu. Makes me curious how the matches would all play out electoral college style.

Yikes I just looked at the results of Mega Man / Pikachu and yeah that is not conclusive. Like 60 votes apart? I think Pikachu has held up more over time than MM though so makes sense to me logically. Even though personally I picked Scorpion over Pikachu, lol.

In the case of Zelda, she lost to Snake in 2005 so since then maybe she has become stronger or Snake weaker. This match is close and let's also recall this tournament works by favoring registered users with 2 votes. So there is another factor involved. Do users favor Nintendo characters and outsiders pick Snake?

It's been a long time since the first tournament, I joined 16 years ago right before. It's really hard to rank popularity based on the match ups we have seen, although this tournament helps settles the score.

If we really want to find the best it would have to be setup in a league structure with a ton of matches.

Pikachu and Zelda have been strong as long as I can recall. Mega Man had easier match ups.

Would Sub Zero have had a chance? I really thought the average voter may have heard in their head - "Pika!" followed by "Get over here!" and then promptly voted Scorpion.

Unless I'm missing one, I only count Peach and Ridley as Nintendo losers so far, which shows how strong Alucard and Big Boss are.

Looking forward to seeing what Charizard does.

FF seems super weak, as it probably deserves, after their management has steered that franchise into inferiority.

Must be impacting his vote total. I don't play Resident Evil much although all I saw from the match was Phoenix Wright vs some dude called Chris. My bracket is shot with Scorpion over Pikachu anyways, lol.

Yeah that was some of my thought. Although some characters I did so because they may be overlooked for nomination, but could do real well.

Mega Man X needs to be in place of Mega Man.... because he's like 10x cooler lol.

Scorpion's victory in an earlier tournament brought me to the leaderboard for the only time ever. And Alucard usually does well. I always root for Samus.

I remember watching it on my iPad and for some reason the fire effects were absolutely mind blowing on it.
