I go to the movie theater twice to three times a month, and average about 50 movies a year (yes, I might see 2-3 movies per trip).

Around 80% of the time, I go by myself. I find the movie-watching experience much more immersive and enjoyable when I'm by myself, and also the movie theater is the only time I get to chill and have some 'alone-time'.

I've been doing this for 15 years now, and back then, I saw that I would be the only person in a theater that would go by himself. The most common type of person that would go solo back then was some weird-looking man in his 40s or 50s, or even a homeless-looking woman.

As time has gone by however, I've noticed that more and more people in their 20s and 30s are now flying solo. Even more interesting is the number of single women who go by themselves - many of them often quite attractive (typically 6 to 8s out of 10). It was mostly white or latino women that typically go, but now I've noticed that even young attractive asian women now go to the theater by themselves, which is something that I'd rarely seen back in the day.

Has anyone noticed this trend in other parts of the US (or even other countries), or is this mostly a NYC thing? I find this to be very interesting .

If this continues, I might consider putting up some Social Profiles for random meets with like-minded people, like a Movie of the Week club.

Going back even further, there is evidence that Trump has waged his own personal war on Christmas. After Trump bought a building close to Central Park in 1981, he refused to decorate the lobby for Christmas part of a concerted strategy, according to the New York Times, to hound out residents from the building, so he could knock it down and build a big tower.

Friends' best episodes pulled in 30M to 50M viewers, for a PG13 show. No sitcom has come close to that kind of sustained popularity since then.

Why list that? Getting rid of immigrants isn't a part of the Trump agenda. He's just trying to curb the problem with undocumented immigrants.

That's already false. He's already limited legal immigrants from coming in.
