Last night I made soup with whatever vegetables I had kicking around, it was great. Onion, carrot, celery, cauliflower, potato, added some lentils and made dumplings Mmmm That's not even the best soup i made this week. I made a blended broccoli, cauliflower, and potato soup with lentils and it was the best --- Never write off the Doctor!

Aside from which, I'm allergic to soy and a number of other plant-related things like tomatoes and vegetable oil. A soy allergy is really tough to deal with, there's soy in so much stuff. Does even soy lecithin get you too? There's a lot of soy free meat alternatives out there. --- Never write off the Doctor!

A lot of hot dogs are gross but I do like Nathans and Hebrew National dogs I agree that tofu is pretty tasteless all on its own, it tastes like whatever you cook it with so if it ends up gross the cook probably didnt know what to do with it. The important thing with tofu is to cook it in a way that gives it an appealing texture though imo Texture is key for most foods though. Like a stir fry with mushy broccoli is just wrong. I didn't like cooking with firm tofu until I learned how to marinade and crisp it up Revelation34 posted... Water chestnuts are definitely worse than tofu.
