Just admit you're jealous you can't drop 1.5k on a phone.

To be clear, no one is actually buying these devices outright. It's essentially a glorified lease that has you locked into monthly payments for the 24 months or so it takes for you to pay it off.

Lol what? Glorified lease? It's called financing...

My older Motorola Moto X Pure Edition has had Turbo Charging built in and it can get to 100% about that fast

https://www.droid-life.com/2015/09/21/moto-x-pure-edition-review/
The Moto X Pure Edition has Turbo Charging, which is Qualcomms Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Motorola is claiming that this is the worlds fastest quick charging phone, probably partly because they are selling it with a Turbo Charger that pushes more juice than other quick charging chargers. In the right scenario, you can technically grab 10 hours worth of power in 15 minutes time. Thats probably more like 2 hours of real usage in 15 minutes, but still, thats a big deal. For a full charge, while I didnt exactly keep track, it certainly seemed like I was grabbing full charges in about an hour.

Ill say it again I wont buy another phone without Quick Charge 2.0 or Turbo Charging or Fast Charging. Its 2015, and it shouldnt take you 3 hours to charge a phone.

I'm talking about the Note 8 specifically which I have. It's more like an hour and 45. Under an hour is just not possible even with the fastest allowed charger. Coffee is straight up lying. SSJ Goku3 was more accurate, but he shit the bed by going paranoid and proving his lack of understanding of technology.

And I also had the Moto X Pure and it's more like an hour and 20. I actually use my Moto Turbo chargers on most of my devices. The reviewer himself states he didn't keep track and feels like maybe it's an hour.

Also, IMO, charging speed is just as important as battery life. I can appreciate a device that can last me over day, but that's kind of negated if I need 2-3 hours to bring it back to 100%. Wireless charging is nice, but I don't use it much personally since I hear it's harder on the battery long-term.

The only reason I can tolerate my Note 8's kinda mediocre battery life is because it goes from 0 to 100% in less than an hour.

BTW, this is bullshit. It's not even possible.

That doesn't even make sense. If the phone is lasting over a day, you can charge when you sleep unless you're sleeping less than 2-3 hours. You shouldn't be letting the battery get below 50% as degradation gets worse and worse the lower you take it.

iPhone owners really don't have a lot of room to talk in regards to battery life. My iPhone 6 had without question the worst battery life of any phone I've ever owned.

Every other phone released then had even worst battery life. I know because I had them. Most Androids were giving 3-4 hours SOT till the S8 and Pixel era of stuff started coming out. iPhone 6 was around 5-6 hours. Androids have dramatically improved battery, but they were shit till very recently.

I thought these companies realized that since microtransactions killed several games last year like BF2 and SoW, they would stop.

Microtransactions are huge, I get that. But it should be for massively multiplayer games that are designed around such things like stuff like Fortnite or mobile trash and with cosmetica in mind only.

They should leave regular games alone because it almost always increases time spent in the game grinding if you don't want to pay. That right there has turned me off from even purchasing the games. Oh well.

I've been searching up and down and I'm pretty sure it's not a Stephen King movie at this point though I'm searching specifically because I want to know if it's Stephen King. It's also not In The Mouth of Madness from The Thing trilogy.

But it definitely felt like it. It's some weird horror with an old man in town that has a house you're not supposed to enter. When you do, you see your fears or something like in that house from IT. Which is what I want to know as well. If it was Derry.

All I remember is the ending where the old man basically traps everyone in the town and they go all crazy or something. He wears a hat like the fuck from Jeepers Creepers.

Eh, I feel like Disney initiating the Fox buyout last year killed a lot of hype. It always seemed like it would get done. So Dark Phoenix is kind of pointless. Whether they get rid of the current cast for the MCU or integrate them, I just don't see much to care about with the current storyline.

No.

Like WB, Fox seem determined to rush to the finish line without running the race first.

This is the 12th movie in that universe and they even split the timeline to repeat Dark Phoenix.

I think they just need to stay consistent

Also Android is not as hyped as the tech wannabes on this board make it sound. I'm a very heavy user and the issues between Google and other manufactures and developers gets extremely annoying. I could make a whole list of shit Google is just lagging behind on. Like features being locked into horrible desktop only versions of their stuff (Drive, Hangouts, etc). You'd think they'd make things parallel between their mobiles and desktops. Or weird bugs that take weeks to even acknowledge (4 months without fast charging on the Pixel because of some random Android P bug).

At the end of the day, people are sticking to their phones longer and longer and don't give two shits about all these little things you guys think is relevant. Any person can get a flagship iPhone or Android and they get everything people need from smartphones nowadays.

Of course they are. I never said otherwise. I said adoption is growing for wireless and overtaking regular ones. Those saying sound quality is one of the main reasons it won't go further are wrong since the difference is small, and not enough for the general public to care, especially when the cheap included ones with your phone is more than enough for most people.

https://qz.com/745108/wireless-headphone-sales-just-hit-a-tipping-point/

Also being wired doesn't mean it has to be 3.5mm. Wired will still have a place.

will just be a matter of time before the make the headphone jack not present on anything. I am not down with that, even if it does have wireless capabilities.

This has already happened. There are over 2 dozen phones from Moto to Google to HTC to even the Razer and Essential phones that all have it removed it. LG and Samsung are the only ones, but even Samsung was going to do it based on leaked S7 designs, but they kept it after people lost their shit over Apple. LG is not a company anyone should trust, so it's irrelevant if they keep it or not.

All phones will lose it eventually. Moto, Google and Apple are already out. You wannabe nerds need to look at things outside your niche perspectives.

Audiophile sound quality is not something the general public gives a fuck about and all these BT sports headphones are huge right now and people are switching over whether their phone supports 3.5mm or not. Most mid tier ones sound amazing, despite there being way better wired ones.

At this point, don't most people in the apple ecosystem already have them? Wouldn't not packaging them with the phone theoretically reduce the overall price and reduce waste?

Most people in the Apple ecosystem already have a lightning charger, they should just stop packaging chargers with the phones to reduce price and waste.

Nintendo tried exactly this.
