Ok. I made it clear what I was talking about. Which is: Criminal gangs. I understand there are "gangs" that don't commit any crimes and they are just groups of guys who like to hang out together but they are not what I'm talking about. I don't have any problems with "gangs" that have nothing to do with crime. Though I have a hard time even calling groups like that "gangs" since that is a word generally used for organized criminal groups. Sounds to me it's more like kids pretending they are gangsters then the real thing.

As for my views being due to me being a "suburbanite", you've got it backwards bud. My views aren't harsh because I've never met any people like that, it's because my father is a drug dealer and I grew up surrounded by him and people like him. I have zero sympathy for people like that or anyone that wants to roll with them. They are fucking garbage. Their pathetic sobs stories about how life gave them no choice but to be criminals is something that I've heard a million times and even as a child I realized it was bullshit. In my opinion of course.

Sorry but I don't buy into the "I had no choice but to be a bad person" mentality. I mean, that is what you're arguing isn't? That some people join gangs out of necessity and not out of choice? No, there's always a choice. Granted, those choices can suck and doing something like joining a gang can be easier and even safer then the other options but that doesn't mean there wasn't other options out there. I mean, if a white dude gets locked up and joins the Aryan Brotherhood because it's safer for him then being on his own are you going to say that his being a Neo Nazi out of "necessity" doesn't say anything about his character? It's understandable why someone would do that something like that in a "I must survive" sense but that doesn't mean you're not a douche for doing it.

A lot of the times you don't really end up doing anything in gangs like bloods or crips. It's pretty weird. Depends on the area and the person.

I'm sure that there are people in gangs that have never committed crimes but they are still in a criminal organization. It's like being a member of KKK but never having personally committed a "hate crime". That's nice and all but simply wanting to be in a group like that shows a severely compromised set of values. Don't get me wrong, people can learn and grow out of that. Become better and whatnot. But anyone in a gang has some serious issues.

If you look at her history, it really seems like she was trying to use the shitstorm that was GamerGate to get fame like Anita Sarkeesian did. I don't know if I'd be so melodramatic about it but it generally seems to do more harm then good. I mean, on a person-to-person basis it can be fine if you can keep your interactions superficial and controlled. If you just post random cat pics like once a month then you really aren't harming yourself or putting yourself at any sort of risk. In that situation it's just a time waster. Like posting here. Of course wasting too much time is bad. Spending like 5 hours a day on GameFAQs or Facebook is not really what I'd consider good. Plus the difference between here and there is that GameFAQs bullshit is almost guaranteed to not bleed into your real life unless you do something dumb like post your address or something. But if you get into some Facebook or Twitter drama you can literally get fired from your job or lose real life friends or whatever. In terms of society as a whole? Ehh. I don't know.

Flamin Hot Cheetos are fine in small amounts. It's only when you eat like entire large size bags when things get unpleasant. I used to eat those things like every day when I was young. Often too many at once. It wasn't smart. Don't have them very often these days.
