I wasn't sure that it was me whom she was waving at; I always get the impression that girls are always waving at somebody behind me who are very likely more attractive than I am. So when she waved, I turned around to see if there was anybody behind me. There wasn't, so I just kept eating my lunch, looked at her smiling at me as we passed, and didn't bother to do anything else. It didn't occur to me to wave back because I wasn't sure if I found her attractive or not, being too busy eating and looking at my lunch, and not having a hand free to wave back because I was busy using both to eat my lunch. I was also very, very sleep-deprived and not really in a good mood for social interaction, having not done well on the quiz in my early morning class I had earlier before. Should I have done something more?

I must have these answers.

I don't know... I don't have the skills or credentials I need yet to start my career, even though I will graduate with my math degree in the spring of next year. I'm wondering if I should just stay put where I am and find a job here, until I obtain said credentials and skills, and am able to get an entry-level job in the career field I so desire. Because right now, I have few marketable skills; the only things I have on my resume are typing really fast and Microsoft Excel (and that's a stretch, because everybody nowadays can do those things), among other things listed under the job description for what I currently do. I've yet to take the most basic actuarial exams, and I'm not that skilled in R. As I see it, I'm not very marketable at all, and am very much doubting my prospects for finding work, let alone outside my state. At the same time, I'm sick of this place, and want to move out. I could still do that and get some apartment in the city, but I'm worried that I won't make enough money to make rent here and pay for other living expenses. I was also thinking of asking my brother if he could room with me; he might consent, but he'd have that damned American tuition to pay, albeit his being a fourth of what I pay for college right now. I don't want to stay in my mother's house forever; it's been a mental strain on my psyche for the past few months, and I don't know how I would cope living here after graduation. But as it stands, I cannot see it as being productive pursuing a job in a field I may or may not be interested in, that may not even make the best use of my math degree, my time, and my energy. I just need more time to get settled and ready for my career, but I'm afraid that I'm starting to run short of even that, having not decided completely what that career might be. So I think I just want to stay put in Hawaii, like that monkey-king bloke has suggested. I cannot think it advisable to move somewhere, find a job I might not even enjoy, that might lead nowhere, and will probably not even coincide with my field of interest, without any of my career prerequisites completed. Not to mention the fact that I haven't decided completely where the hell I would wish to move. Ever since that talk with that girl a few weeks ago, I've started thinking about where I wanted to live. "What weather do you like?", she had asked me. "Somewhere cloudy", said I. So I started thinking that I want to move to somewhere with little sunlight, with longer nights, with lots of cold weather. The problem is, that I cannot decide which place in this country would suit me best with regards to my living preferences. So I think it would be a bad idea for me to move without knowing for certain I love the destination I would be living in for a long time. I have many, many things I must get sorted out before going out-of-state, I should think. First of all, and most importantly, building my skills and credentials. Second of all, deciding where I would like to move. There are opportunities fo do what I want to do, in a lot of places in the United States, but I just have to decide where I would like to start my career and possibly the rest of my life.

Sexual innuendo aside, if you don't have a car, then you will have a plethora of troubles commuting to work, school, the store to buy life's essentials, or wherever else you need to go.

Then you're going to have to go through the same troubles going back home. I have heard tell that public transportation is unreliable, and that it's better to drive oneself to these places.

Basically, when I'm in school, I always feel like I should smile, but I'm afraid of smiling at people belonging to a certain ethnic group which I don't feel comfortable mentioning here. And I'm even more afraid of accidentally checking out the female members of this ethnic group while doing it. I am genuinely afraid of this ethnic group and don't want anything to do with them. It doesn't help that I am terrible at discerning members of this ethnic group from members of other ethnic groups that can be mistaken for the former. Is this a stupid reason to not smile?

You're all mistaken. Ultimecia isn't whoever the current Sorceress is. For one, there can be more than one Sorceress at a time. Just look at Adel and Rinoa. Adel was sealed away because she couldn't die unless she passed on her sorceress powers, and Edea passed down her powers to Rinoa at the end of Disc 2. Hence, this "current Sorceress" talk must stop. Ultimecia just controls all of these Sorceresses at different times in the story with the use of the Ellone Junction Machine (developed by Doctor Odine), which she uses to send her consciousness to the past to possess the Sorceresses from her distant past. First, she took control of Edea sometime before the start of the game (or during), making her assassinate President Deling and take control of Galbadia Garden; then she took control of Rinoa after Edea was defeated by the orphanage gang. Then after Adel was released from her space cage, Ultimecia took possession of her. Then as part of Laguna's plan to thwart Ultimecia, the group heads to Lunatic Pandora, but Rinoa gets kidnapped by Seifer, who gives her to Adel, who is possessed by Ultimecia. Then Adel is defeated, then Rinoa is possessed once again. Then Ellone sends Ultimecia's consciousnesses from Rinoa's body to some other sorceress in the past, and that's when Ultimecia's time compression commences. And that's the last time that Ultimecia possesses someone. Oh, and at the end, she passes her sorceress powers to a younger Edea, who then passes it to Rinoa many years later (as mentioned before).
