Has anyone who's been confirmed dead, other than Kenny, come back? They've abscribed it to Kenny having superpowers that are explained in-universe, not to it being the standard for their universe. Indeed, all other characters I can think of who died, stayed dead for real.

Other than Kenny, a major character anywhere near the level of Stan hasn't died afaik. I see your point but I don't doubt that they could come up with an explanation for bringing Stan back.

I doubt Stan is permanently dead. It reminds me of *Family Guy spoilers from a few years ago* Brian.

Yes, Stan is often considered the most basic, bland character, but he still has a huge influence on the show's story telling. His relationship with his dad and Kyle are two huge themes on the show. There's also the fact that he's supposed to be based on Trey Parker himself. Taking the show forward with Stan permanently dead wouldn't be easy.

It's possible, but I think his death was supposed to just be a shocking thing to contrast the episode's point about how America is becoming numb to school shootings. And it's not like characters coming back from the dead is anything new to South Park...

Did you play Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald on the GBA? Do you want to play it again/are you nostalgic for it?

If no to that, go with USUM. USUM is pretty cutscene/dialogue heavy though, if that's something that would bother you.

I already own multiple games where I can play the same story in the same region with the same Pokemon. So no, I can't justify spending 60 dollars to play through Kanto again.

But I also get that these games aren't for me, they're for people who are new to the series or haven't played it in 20 years.

The movie was obviously a disgrace but I can't imagine the visual effects and choreography of a Netflix series doing it justice either. The style of the show just fits animation much better.
