So the general schtick with DS3 is that it's basically midnight on the doomsday clock. It's the closest the Fire has ever been to fading, thus why the Unkindled were raised because no one would link the fire.

A common handwaved is that time and space are distorted, although this is a rather apt summary of what's happening with Lothric as the world essentially converges inward on itself. You can see this in the order of places we went through to the Demon Prince, because we're effectively escaping the world of DS3.

We don't know exactly how many times the Fire has been rekindled, but it's more than just each iteration of the series.

Where the main game of DS3 is midnight on the doomsday clock, the ending of the Ringed City is basically at the end. The entire world, even beyond the threshold of Lothric and the kingdoms it's built upon, has faded. That we can hop back and forth is gameplay based, but we do have previous time travel shenanigans with bonfires with Oolacile, so it's not unheard of.

Untended Graves is a weird spot, but if we take the words of Ludleth literally and the implications of the Firekeeper Eyes at face value, that is the true Firelink Shrine. There may be time distortion shenagians going on based on Gundyr's gear, but I'm not sure.

The Profaned Flame by my understanding was an artificial flame like what the Witch of Izalith created. Not sure beyond that.

Not a clue where Londor is, since it's only mentioned.

I can't really say too much on Aldrich and the Deep, since it's not touched upon too much. It may be that the Dark and the Deep are two words for the same end, but I don't know.

Hopefully that is a little helpful.

The U.S. Supreme Court has held that police can search phones with a valid warrant and compel a person in custody to provide physical evidence such as fingerprints without a judge's permission.

yeah so they need a warrant to search and it doesnt sound like they can force someone with risk of ten years in prison if they dont comply

I do believe there was a recent story where someone was kept in jail because he refused to unlock his phone. Might've been a CP case or something like that.

I do agree that having someone unlock their phone to "assist" with a police investigation runs afoul of the Fifth Amendment. State's got to do the legwork.

Since nobody did what I asked, I'll summarize Denver Area.

In Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium, Inc. v. FCC , the United States Supreme Court did not reach a conclusion over whether public access channels were designated public forums. In Denver Area, the decision of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in Alliance for Community Media v. FCC was appealed to the United States Supreme Court and consolidated with other petitioners. The petitioners argued that the D.C. Circuit erred in determining public access channels were not designated public forums because the access channels were set aside by government action for the purpose of public expression. In the plurality opinion, Justice Stephen Breyer expressed wariness regarding the application of public forum analysis to public access channels. As a result, the plurality declined to determine whether public access channels could be categorized as public forums and resolved the case without consideration for public forum analysis. The Court affirmed the D.C. Circuits decision regarding the constitutionality of section 10(a) but reversed the D.C. Circuit regarding sections 10(b) and 10(c).
In his concurrence and dissent, Justice Anthony Kennedy argued that public access channels were designated public forums despite being privately owned due to the interaction of state and private actors. Justice Kennedy noted that public access channels are required to be provided by cable operators by the local franchising authority and must be made available to any member of the public. Additionally, Justice Kennedy indicated that precedent did not require a public forum to be owned by the government. Instead of examining the title of the public access channels, the franchise agreement was the focus, and per the terms of the agreement, the cable operator had given away the authority to exclude speech from the public access channels. In this way, a cable operator acted as a means for the speech of the members of the public wanting their programs aired on public access channels. Justice Kennedy concluded his analysis by asserting that where the use of private property for public expression is contracted for the government, that contract creates a public forum.
In opposition to Justice Kennedy, Justice Clarence Thomas argued that public access channels could not be public forums. Justice Thomas asserted that public access channels and the cable systems the channels are operated on are private property. He acknowledged that title is not the sole determinative factor in public forum analysis. However, Justice Thomas argued a public forum may only be created where the government has secured, at minimum, a public easement in the affected property. The regulations and restrictions imposed on cable operators were therefore not sufficient to justify the establishment of a designated public forum. Additionally, Justice Thomas noted that the government must also be able to exert substantial control over the property. However, regulatory control falls short in justifying the designation of a public forum. Justice Thomas concluded that public access channels should not be subject to public forum analysis because the interest the government acquired in the public access channels by way of the franchise agreement was not comparable to the interests that the Court has held sufficient to establish a public forum.

Now, if something that was authorized and managed by the state (public access channels) and created for the general public is toeing the line on public forum analysis, how in the hell would privately held corporate entities and their infrastructure qualify.

And as an additional note, current public forum jurisprudence applies only where government owns or has substantial control over the operation of the property so designated.

Only in the latter capacity has otherwise private property (an organization designated to operate public access channels) been designated a public forum.
