I wonder if the same people who complain about classic Sonic 'cant see ahead/ obstacles slow you down' happen to like the 3d Boost games

It's pretty much the same thing. Whether you spindash in the classics or boost in the moderns, going 0 to 300 mph without understanding the level is gonna end badly.

Understanding (good) Sonic games is like understanding how to climb the stairs at the end of a 2D Mario game. You already know how unsatisfying it is to have to jump up a flight of stairs slowly vs well timed jumps and use of momentum.

Hell, Mania has just that in Lava Reef zone

On Normal and above, it's easier to achieve, but it also depends on speed. At 15 min on Sierra 117, you lose your 3x score multiplier, and it drops every 5 mins. I always try and work around a certain time frame

A easy skull to get is the Thunderstorm and IWHBYD one in the level The covenant, both are very easy to obtain

My usual skull setup is; Iron, Thunder Storm, Fog, IWHBYD, Cowbell, and the one that increases enemy health

I finally did it earlier this year, it was a lot easier than expected, but you pretty much have to take the safest routes

Eggmanland Day Phase 1 is easy, just take the right route, should be done in under a minute

Night 1 is also easy, skip everything, collect powerups like the claws

Day 2 is easy, but the rollercoaster can be annoying if you over extend at the beginning or end

Night 2 is probably the hardest because you don't cast a shadow/ can't move the camera as much. I suggest you tiptoe as straight as possible and slow down during the arbitrary camera flips, always double jump

Day 3 is ehhhh. So long as you are ready for the qtes and you don't rush too hard, you are good.

Night 3, I think the right semi secret path is easier. Very easy to panic into over extend/ screw up. So long as you don't take to much damage in the fan rooms, the final room should be easy so long as you hit and run

Sand level is too late

That Space level is too simple, should be Asteroid Coaster

For a Sonic Game?

Sonic Racing Transformed has excellent Red Shell and Blue shell variants

The Bees obstucted the track, but it was totally dodgeable if you actually knew how to drive. The Bee user could time the bee to a spot where it would be very hard to navigate through. It sucked in the air tho

The drone was honestly a bit too easy to dodge, but didn't require a item to avoid.
