Microsoft has already said their next console will be fully BC with Xbox One games (including 3rd party) and rumor is the 360 games that are currently BC on the One will be BC as well. At this point unless you are a hardcore fanboy I dont see how you could stand in a store and look at a PS5 with 5 launch games, and an Xbox whatever with 5 launch games plus a catalog of 1500+ games and go "yeah I'll take a PS5." Say what you will about Microsoft but its pretty awesome that with the release of AC1 going backwards compatible I now have the entire Assassins Creed collection on one console.
