Just want to remind you both that there will probably be a recession in the next couple of years, and the debt saddled companies are always the most at risk of bankruptcy during these times. Even if they survive, it might take a while if at all to come back to where they were. I'm definitely in favor of being an early adopter in emerging markets like EVs, pot, and solar, but a most of these companies are doing so badly I have doubts if they'll even last the year.

Good for them I suppose, but even with their current financials I wouldn't go within nuking radius of this stock. Surprised to see you cheerleading for them FLUFFYGERM.

Working longer hours is just a cop out to not have to hire another person.

If a job requires more than 40 hours a week to get done, you should hire another person to do the work of the person when they home asleep.

This would make more jobs open up.

Only if they have the money for those additional higher paying jobs, which many employers don't. I think it costs twice as much to staff a $30k employee than they actually make, if I recall.

Crypto is a bunch of gamblers speculating on a bubble and has nothing to do with the stock market.

While yes recession is a natural part of the business cycle its gonna be made worse by government interference and you can see its getting close because 10 year rates and 1 year rates are getting closer together and when 10 year rates are lower than 1 year rates it's usually a good indicator that a recession will follow. Not quite there yet.

Plus the fed is going to raise interest rates to fight inflation.

The 2-10 spread has actually been increasing lately, which is a good thing I guess. But what I'm worried about is how slow this expansion has been and how long it took for interest rates to rise in the first place. We should have been at this point five years ago. A decade of easy money is going to crush the financial markets. We're also in a pretty massive bubble in household wealth, which is mostly common stock so at least it's not a real estate crisis, but that and trillions of dollars in bottom interest loans is going to hurt.

That has nothing to do with "don't follow your passion." The reason, first of all, is that many of your passions tend to be leisure things like movies, music, sports, etc, and for that reason they tend not to be profitable because everyone else is after those jobs as well. Try making a living as a musician in any city, I dare you. Second, doing something for a living doesn't make you hate it. It's quite possible to love what you do despite it not being something you'd care about normally. But at the same time, if you break down something you normally enjoy into bits and pieces, and the job itself is only OK, it doesn't leave you with anything left.

From what I've heard, it's not uncommon to go bankrupt after winning the lottery as a lot of people don't manage the money right and aren't ready for all of increased taxes and insurance that comes along with everything they spend their money on.

When it's this much money, you have to be really talented to waste it.
