Final Fantasy was always average at best. That's what happens when instead of developing your engine with each title you simply scrap most of it and randomly generate new mechanics to try and made each title different.

Sonic Mania is terribly overrated. It's okay but it's really just a remix. You're much better off playing the originals (the retro engine pales in comparison).

Some of the 3D games are good, the high points are great but there are some lows. It mainly seems Sega just doesn't want to make Sonic games anymore so they keep trying to turn him into something else.

But Generations was great, and forces looks solid though I haven't played it yet. The Adventure Games and 06 had some ups and downs but mostly I enjoyed each of them.

The older games were great and they've aged well but making new Genesis games instead of Updated HD games just seems lazy. They didn't even try with Mania.

I'm sure the criminals and rapists would obey the curfew and stay inside.

Less people are getting married in general.

Less marriages means less divorces.

TopicWe're currently in the silver age of video games.

Acting like 'golden/silver' is a connotation of quality.

Like it or not the Golden age was the original (atari/Commodore era). The silver age was the bit wars (Nintendo/Master System to the PS1/N64) transitioning into the Bronze Age (PS2/XBX to PS3/360). I would consider the current age the millenial age as games become more political and the AAA franchises stagnate while gamers look more to the indy market for new stuff.

Of course to PC gamers it would all just be history.

I've enjoyed gaming in each generation but lately things are stagnating. I'm getting very tired of Soulsborne clones and designers making everything as grindy as possible.

Doesn't help that there is no such thing as systemic(etc...) racism.

The implication that black people serve longer prison sentences because of internalized racism is fallacious. Inner cities are sources of the highest crime rates and they are largely populated by people of color, resulting in many of them being repeat offenders. The theory doesn't take criminal history into account.

It also doesn't account for the fact that the majority of prisoners in the united states are white, as are the majority of the homeless and the unemployed. White people are both making the most money, and making the least. It is because they are the majority, not because of 'implied' racism.

Systemic racism was a concept invented by the equality of outcome crowd, people who intentionally ignore specific sets of correlating data to get their desired outcome rather than a factual one. The same crowd that insist there's a wage gap by intentionally omitting data about how many hours women work on average or what line of work they are in. The same group that claims there's a pink tax while completely ignoring that feminine products are made out of different materials (generally more expensive) than masculine products.

You would have to kill billions of people to wipe out Islam alone.

Religion isn't going anywhere.

If humans evolved from Apes, then why are Apes still Apes?

humans are still apes, for the record.

you don't evolve out of a group.

we are apes, we are mammals, we are vertebrates, we are deuterostomes, we are animals, we are alive.

So humans can mate with apes then?

I mean, if we're the same species, shouldn't that be a thing? Cause I'm pretty sure Humans and Apes are Anthropoids, not that Humans are Apes.

The narrative needs to die, yes.

Strong female leads, like any strong lead, works if it's well written and performed.

When the entire character is "Look! Strong Woman!" it universally leads to shit.

Wonder Woman = the right way
Rey from Star Wars = the wrong way

Sarah Connor from the Original Terminator = right way
New Ghostbusters = the wrong way

Ridley from OG Alien = the right way
Oceans 8 = the wrong way
