I'm exploring everything and hitting the casino for stuff like the lightning spear for Serena, and using the forge a ton. I feel a game like this isn't meant to be sped through so it doesn't feel like a slog at this point. Although the story on Disgaea 1 is pretty great. That is true. I suppose "the point of any disgaea game is the postgame grinding" does quite a disservice to the characters and writing, and getting through the base story is fun for that reason. D1 has the best characters and story but I think they've really improved the gameplay in the sequels. I should really play D2 soon, then, since my friend gifted it to me for Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed 1's gameplay. D2 really improved the Item World a lot- They made the stages smaller but there's more going on and there's lots of interesting new geo panel powers. There's also side rooms you can go into that can have different events happen (Mystery Rooms I think they're called). Bows were greatly improved upon as well- The range is better and killing an enemy with a bow has a chance for that enemy to drop a treasure chest. Bows were also improved through the nerfing of guns, which can now only shoot in a super long (but straight) line. Best unit in D2, or at least the most interesting, is the flying French frog. He can assume two modes- normal and a pissed off mode where he's red. Put some +movement items on him and he can get you through a LOT of item world floors. Archers for example will provide follow up attacks to an enemy when your other guys attack it, provided you're in range. Warriors gain huge stat increases with the more enemies they're surrounded by. Girl mages can cast spells for half the SP cost but they deal less damage, etc etc. And that's not including all the hero units' evilties. When he snaps and makes half the universe go away, he's essentially actively choosing every single person who stays and every single person who goes on some conscious level. The movie implies he's not that powerful, and the Gauntlet itself is more of a tool of infinite power rather than something that makes the wearer themselves a god. So he probably deliberately specifies half the universe that isn't him, but it's mostly random choice. Though it's possible that he could be just as much in control of who stays and who goes as he was in the comics, and in that split-second moment he's essentially aware of everyone and everything in the entire universe and can pick and choose in an instant. Either way, the likelihood that he would have been one of the ones who vanish is pretty much zero. Black_Crusher 12/24/18 10:30:11 AM #1	Hello! It's been a billion years now however I'm almost up to having 500 items in my game and was wondering if anyone here had any good ideas for my final 13? In the past some players have had excellent ideas I wouldn't have considered so this could be TRULY MAGICAL. For reference, here is my current item list excel sheet: http://dxfgames.com/ETL_ITEMLIST2018.xlsx This explains everything with 100% detail. What I've been trying to do with these last 40-50 items or so is to make them pretty unique, gameplay-wise. For example there's a wooden shield called "The Slammer" that's actually a small door. The gimmick on it is if you have it equipped and close a door you'll recover a minor amount of HP back. It's not too OP because as it's made of wood getting hit by a fire spell and etc. will burn and destroy it.
