| ratix04 06/20/18 10:12:16 PM #10 | Their equivalent to the Pope is a "Caliph" which is a religious as well as political leader. The last one was deposed, I believe after the Ottoman Empire unraveled after WWI. Since then there has been no Caliph. The next highest religious leader might be the Ayatollah which is about like a Cardinal, but they are only recognized in Iran. |
