Are we talking underrated as in they people think they did deserve to win or that they were good films at all? There are plenty of excellent films I thought shouldn't have won but there are very few BP winners I disliked. Off the top of my head the only one I've seen that I know I didn't like was Rain Man.

The Great Mouse Detective. I saw The Rescuers for the first time recently and it was... fine. Just fine. But that's it. The Great Mouse Detective is fun!

Nah. You have to be born (or hatched?) to be alive. We don't add nine (or four or five) months to people's ages.

Frankly if I did think they were alive I would have to be anti-choice because ultimately I care more about preventing deaths than I do about people's independence. It's why I'm against assisted suicide too.

But fetuses don't matter.

So you're saying fetuses are undead?

I'm saying it's not a fully formed being. At best it's a parasite entirely dependent on the nutrients that the mother intakes, so maybe you could argue it's an extension of the mother, like an arm. But I don't support arm rights either, and the fetus isn't even a helpful ambulatory mechanism that would be a pain to lose. Hell, if I wanted to I could make the argument that even after birth up to a few months it wouldn't really matter but that's more shaky and doesn't have the clean separation of before and after birth, so for classification purposes that's easier.

Those on the wrong side of history often tend to dehumanize the victims.

Again, I'm legally pro choice, despite my moral objections, but the whole 'it's just tissue' argument to me is questionable.

lol. You're going to talk to me about dehumanizing?

I don't care if it's not human. I would object to killing a kangaroo or a spider-monkey, and I'm not even a fan of killing plants. It frustrates me to no end that I require living organisms of any kind to be destroyed for my continued survival. But there's a distinction between not human and not alive.

I don't care about people who are brain-dead but kept on life-support either, because they're already dead. Sad but a waste of resources. Let's focus on the living. The only thing I care about is keeping people currently alive from dying. The only thing. It's what my entire morality is built on.

Out of the ones I've seen, Road Warrior > Terminator >> Escape from New York > Die Hard. I should probably rewatch Die Hard and T1 though.

All the Mad Max movies are great fun, even Beyond Thunderdome.

I say Sleeping Beauty, aside from a fantastic and charismatic villain in Maleficent you also have fun protagonists in the form of the Fairies (since they bicker and banter a lot) and a very distinct artstyle where the landscapes are concerned. If I recall right they were all drawn up on actual tapestries, and it makes the movie as a whole very entertaining on the eyes~.

I'll admit, classic it may be I'm not too fond of Cinderella. Something about it feels like it's kind of... like, promoting vanity? It doesn't sit well with me as a result.

I think aside from some of the early ones (Bambi and Fantasia mainly) Sleeping Beauty has some of the best art in the entire canon. It's beautiful. That's a big part of what makes it so great.

Sleeping Beauty. The animation is great and it has a top-notch Disney villain. Cinderella is decent but doesn't hold up as well.

This board has terrible Disney taste. Every single vote has gone wrong (though I need to rewatch Oliver & Company to say for sure about that one).

So, the vote hasn't gone wrong. It just has gone your way. That's all...

But isn't that the same thing?

Nah. Fetuses aren't alive so they can't be killed. I'm basically okay with abortions anytime before birth, including the third trimester. I don't care about potential humans, just the ones already done.

Honestly we don't need more people anyway. More resources for those already alive, thanks!

Missed the past two rounds, but was galled by the idiotic criticism of The Fox and the Hound in that topic where Fantasia sadly lost to Robin Hood.

Yeah, what the hell. Fantasia is one of the best Disney movies period while Robin Hood is... well, kind of mediocre.

Anyway here it's Dumbo > Jungle Book. No contest.

I mean some of us just hate the feeling of facial hair. In my natural state I grow facial hair quickly (and have a ton of body hair too) and I just find it gross, unbecoming, and uncomfortable. Sometimes even head hair feels like too much sensory-wise, though I don't mess with that too much because of aesthetics.

We're skipping the anthology movies, huh? Maybe for the best since a lot of people haven't seen them. The Ichabod and Mr. Toad one is sweet though.

This time I went with Pinocchio, no contest. Snow White is a good movie, but it's one of the lesser classic movies in my opinion. Pinocchio is just really solid.

Also, nice, none of my favorites are facing each other in the first round. Lady and the Tramp vs. Sleeping Beauty sucks a bit but there's a clear favorite there. All the other contests are going to be fairly easy to pick.
