When I was a bagboy wayyy back when (in the long long ago, in the before time), occasionally I'd get girls who I knew from school in my line shopping (usually with their moms, like weekly grocery stuff), and I could always tell if the tampons were for them or their mom. The moms wouldn't give a shit, the girls would be blushing or very determindely not looking in my direction (even if they were girls I knew/were friendly with normally).

I don't get why people -- men or women -- are so squeamish about it.

1 - Star-Lord has been using his jet pack for much longer than Tony has been Iron Man, and it gives him maneuverability on par with Tony's. And yes, his alien pistols were probably about equal to the Iron Man suit's repulsors.

2 - If you mean Wong, he plainly says that someone has to stay in the Sanctum to guard it. Stephen leaves, ergo Wong stays behind.

3 - For one, the axe actually exists, whereas Mjolnir was destroyed. Two, Eitri clearly says that Odin commissioned Storm Breaker to be designed as a weapon for when Thor became king, as he currently is. Presumably, Odin knew by that point Thor would have full control of his powers.

3A - Thanos had the Stones, yes, but he hadn't actually done anything with them yet. And he's still a mortal being with a physical body that can be hurt.

4 - In the comics, Captain Marvel has lost plenty. In the MCU, she might be the most powerful, but only time will tell how she measures up to Thanos.

I was getting pizza a couple of days after last Jedi came out and the workers were talking loudly about a character death while I was waiting for my food. I had tickets to see it the next day. It was annoying but you can't expect everyone to not talk about a movie especially since the big spoilers are often one of the most important parts to talk about.

The thing I hate most are spoilers which come from totally unexpected places, that you have no way to defend against.

When Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (the book) came out, I was driving home from work the morning of its release day (i.e. it was going on sale that night at midnight). I was listening to the radio, and a morning show that had never mentioned anything even slightly geeky started talking about it, and before I could take my right hand off the steering wheel to change the station, one of the DJs talked about how Hedwig and Moody (paranoia spoiler marking LOL) die in the first chapter. I was like WTF.

The guy immediately complied and survived, and ironically enough, had no issue with the cop afterwards. Nor with the store clerk, who had called the cops. His issue was with the 911 dispatcher, who took a call for "suspected shoplifting" and somehow transposed that into "active armed robbery".

Hasbro's been killing it with their Marvel and Transformers stuff.

The Power Rangers toyline actually hasn't been doing as well as of late (mostly due to the last couple of seasons being really bad).

I can't believe how many G1s they've been "updating" recently. Just in the last year, I've seen Octane, Blitzwing, Dreadwind, Kickback, Windcharger, Beachcomber, for fuck's sake, they even redid Seaspray and Cosmos, perhaps two of the lamest small-scale figures ever, and made them look decent.
