It took me 30+ minutes to kill the low rank Kirin when I had a HR in the mid-40s.

I'm still at like 11. That Pukei-Pukei is the only HR thing I've taken on so far, and I thought that since the Kirin was low rank I'd start there. Not a great idea. I think I did get somewhat close since it went up to that high plateau to sleep it off, but then came the electrocution. It's frustrating because I wasn't having much luck attacking it from behind, but then when I try going after its face I'm eating bolts before I can even react. Then I'm stunned and he hits me again and gg. Think I'll put that one on the back burner for a while, then try to come a little more prepared.

I'm sorry if that bothered you. It was intended to be lighthearted fluff. I had meant to tie you in and contrast you with harpie because of the general perception that she seeks attention. And to reference your apparent annoyance with the people who voted negatively in your poll thread not commenting further, and the people who unfriended you not bothering to explain why. A more accurate word would have been 'validation' than 'attention', but that didn't work so well in the context of the allegory. In any case I hadn't intended to offend you, and I'm sorry if I did.

thelovefist pretends to ignore the snow, hoping to spite it.
Bullet_Wing and 0AbsoluteZero0 faithfully study the snow, keeping careful track of who it falls on.
Zikten rambles aimlessly about nothing in particular, completely unaffected by the world around him.
The Admiral passive-aggressively dismisses it, and refuses to acknowledge it again on the basis that it can't affect him while he's inside.
_Goggalor_ attacks the snow in a bizarre frenzy until he finally recognizes it's futile, then runs himself ragged training to be ready for next time.
Carlbertomfg runs outside naked to let the snow cover every inch of his body. A new fetish is born.
MorningRose hides under her bed and waits for things to get better.
Harpie tries to push herself into seeing it as a new opportunity for adventure, because wouldn't that be a much lovelier way to look at the world?

I don't think so, necessarily. It's natural to be attracted to others, and this place is a social outlet filled with people who are probably more similar to you than the average people you find IRL. Finding an actual person to crush on might even be a step up for some. I'm not sure it's well-advised because you have to take on faith that people are how they present themselves, and because it would probably be difficult to turn it into an IRL relationship even if they reciprocate. But just having a crush doesn't seem too weird to me. It is a little weird to be so open about it though, especially if it's unrequited.
