Catfisher here. I really do want to come clean. And I probably will. Eventually. The problem is, for reasons I wont go into, I think the ramifications would hurt some people badly enough to make them very angry/depressed. People that have had suicidal depression before. I couldnt bare to impact someones life negatively that way. Theres another reason I cant just yet but saying why might give me away. Im also not saying anything about CE for the same reasons. I appreciate the responses and advice so far. Thank you. I really wish it was an easy decision but every path seems painful.

Catfisher here. Two problems with just leave. One, I made a lot of good friends. Could you just leave your fiends like that? Also Im addicted to my status in the social scene. Two, like I said they need me as much as I need them. Just checking out would be harsh.

I get that half or more of this board is depressed, but what you're doing right here is attention seeking.

I think I might be gay. I dont enjoy sex with women and find effeminate and emotional personalities completely insufferable. I very rarely drink but recently did with some friends, while at the time I've been fairly sad. I kept wanting to drink after that, tired of the sad feeling and not moving on fast enough from what's making me sad. Got a bit scared by how suddenly alcohol being alluring and I don't want to slide down that big slope, so I stopped.

Ive been catfishing gamefaq people for a few years now. Guy masquerading as a girl. It started off unintentionally and by no means do I do it for underhanded reasons.....I just got stuck in the lie and as time went on it would be worse and worse to come clean to the point Im convinced someone would become suicidal if I did. I'm in an extremely awkward situation with another user on CE. I thought we were friends and that the individual just expressed it a bit oddly. I recently found out he's gay, and I'm pretty sure he's got a huge crush on me because now that I'm aware of it some of his behavior is super flirty. Plus he buys me stuff (although I also buy him stuff, sooo....). Its awkward because I DO NOT feel that way at all. I'm not into guys, like, AT ALL. Confess something to CE. : The vast majority of you are humanitys dregs. I browse CE to pass time at work because your combined fuckupetry is mildly more entertaining than Candy Crush. Stop trying to validate your life through empty attention, memes, and tired arguments with people whose minds wont change. If you dont have a job you like, spend some time and energy to better yourself to get it. If you dont have a relationship you like, go out and do new things to meet people. If you hate yourself so much that you need negative attention for validation, learn a skill or find a hobby. CE is for those that either fail at all that or are entertained by the former.

I'm such a screw up. Everything I do just causes problems and makes more unlike able. I want to feel included and make friends, but I posted in a topic the other day and accidentally derailed it and upset the tc pretty badly. I recently tried befriending another poster, but now they hate me too. I'm just lonely and want to talk sometimes. Even the posters who used to be my friends don't really care about me. I don't even trust when people do seem to like me, or care, it just feels like pity.
