Appreciate all the detail, definitely cleared things up. I think I'll probably go with IV first. Although I haven't played too many turned based RPGs outside of pokemon and persona and this series sounds kinda complex, does it have a high barrier of entry or do you think I'll manage?

Didn't really answer my question. I'm not really keen on games like the tales series where you get loads of filler from pointless conversations between the characters. Just want to get on with the main plot. Reason why I always skipped the monster of the week x files episodes.

I haven't played 5 but assuming it's like 4, the main plot kind of unfolds slowly while you spend a lot of time talking with and learning more about characters to form bonds with them. They're usually pretty entertaining.

Never played one, is it basically Persona minus the life sim parts? How similar is the dungeon crawling/combat? Which one should I play first?

Danganronpa series isn't exclusive but if you haven't played them definitely give them a shot. I also really enjoyed Nier Automata, Resident Evil 7, Doom and Monster Hunter World.

Also if you have PS+ today is the last day you can pick up Bloodborne for free. Get that game either way.

Really enjoyed it overall, but not sure where I'd rank it among the others. Case 1 was my favorite overall, really didn't see that twist coming, and I think they did a good job at hinting at it. Only downside is that I would've preferred to play as Kaede as the protagonist the entire game, but oh well.

Case 2 was pretty weak, the whole thing was pretty predictable and it's pretty annoying to have to sit through a case when you've got it figured out, but it's not like that's a Danganronpa first. Kirumi's backstory and motive were somewhat redeeming.

Case 3 was a bit better, didn't expect the killer at first because it seemed too obvious and figuring out how he did it was pretty interesting. I kind of wish that Korekiyo didn't commit both murders and that he would have been excused for only committing the second murder, would've been neat to see how they handled having a convicted murderer of one of your classmates remain after a class trial. But my 3 least favorite characters died in one fell swoop so that was the highlight of this case.

Case 4 was alright, I enjoyed playing in the virtual world, and having to convict Gonta was probably the most heartbreaking moment in the entire series.

Case 5 was good, had the killer spoiled beforehand but finding out how and why he did it was still fun.

Case 6 I'm still not too sure how I feel. At first I was really iffy but the more I think about it the more I like it. But it still leaves some questions unanswered, and I felt like it was cheap at the end for them to be like "well maybe she was just lying afterall". They should have just gone all the way, because otherwise I feel like they're just kinda ruining the whole point of what they were going for. But it was certainly unexpected to say the least.

Overall really enjoyable, Shuichi was alright but Kaede seemed to have more potential and would've finally been more unique than the other protagonists. At least for once you're playing as the smart one instead of relying on others. Really liked the relationship with Kaito and Maki. Anyways, time for me to go through Danganronpa withdrawal.

At least with a Kroger card you know how they're getting that info, but still creepy yeah. Would a generic credit card really be enough for them to know? That's what I don't even understand

I tried the jalapeno ones on a whim and they're surprisingly good if you like a little bit of spice, but not as good as the GOAT cheddar of course

Are math minor classes all that difficult? I've done pretty well in calculus 1/2 and discrete math so far, do they stay around that difficulty or do they ramp up?

Depends on what math classes you take.

There are math classes very closely associated with computer science that would show you have additional relevant knowledge.

If your math minor just requires the calculus sequence and DEs though, that's sort of going to count as much as most minors do.

It's kind of flexible but I'd definitely take linear algebra and combinatorics since they also give CS credit. I'd then take other CS-related math classes to finish up the minor.

For a CS degree? I asked my advisor and he didn't really give a clear answer, just that it looks good but isn't really necessary. Does it help at all with job prospects or will it just be a waste of time?

the VR has been on sale at least once so far this year and once last year. it might go on sale again eventually.

I'm gonna bite at some point but there hasn't been any VR games that seem like a must play to me yet, just trying the VR is the main draw for me at the moment. But a full length VR Danganronpa? I'd get it in a heartbeat.

Somewhat related question, I heard Danganronpa v3 isn't a continuation of the first two games, without spoiling anything, is that true? Also when people say the ending of 3 sucks are they referring to the game or the anime, since they're apparently completely different?

It's alright. Gameplay was okay but nothing mindblowing, story was good. It fills in some loose ends from both DR1 and 2, so it was worth it to me on that level.

How much story/dialogue is there? Obviously I don't expect nearly as much as if it was a mainline game, but is there enough there to warrant not just googling a summary or something?

Just finished Danganronpa 1+2 and really enjoyed them. I'm mostly interested in the plot of UDG, but is the action decent enough? Also, Toko is probably my least favorite character out of both games and since she's the star of this one that's really scaring me off too.
