I'm too old to have had early exposure to porn. >_>

I mean magazines existed of course but I never had access to any. Best we could come up with in those days was trying to watch between the blurs on scrambled channels on cable, but we didn't have internet access or whatever.

My brother had me convinced that he has a secret basement that he could access from his bedroom (even though the house already had a mom-secret one under his room) that had basically every cool thing in the world in it that I was interested in. Like every video game, movie, Lego set, etc. but of course he wouldnt let me in. :(

I thought ketchup was called doo-wop. (?????)

A little older, I thought you could get AIDS by being in contact with someone elses blood. Like no one had to already have it, it would just manifest by two peoples blood touching. So when I ran into a friend at recess one time and we both bled a little I was worried it touched and we got AIDS!

I thought all dogs were boys and all cats girls when I was super young.

I thought at first women just randomly got pregnant. I remember teen pregnancy being mentioned on TV as a problem and thinking well if it happens you cant really do anything about it, weird girls are getting pregnant younger now...

Then I thought a girl could get pregnant by sleeping next to a man.

And finally thought that the man put his wee-wee in the girls butt to get her pregnant.

Then I finally figured it out. >_>

Also when I was super young, I realized TV shows/movies were fake and they were pretending but was watching really tame stuff, so if someone was shot there was no wound they just died and it was obviously all acting. But the first time I saw a semi-realistic movie where a squib went off and blood splattered when someone was shot, I thought it was real and people who really wanted to be in a movie would volunteer to die for the production. >_>

Yeah, that really sucks. I'm a few years older and my friends are all around the same age, and some of them do still play games as a main hobby, but by 30 (or really mid, late-20's for most of us) you just kind of move on from that as being SUPER important.

basically she is the ultimate what if they can use to justify their mistake
rational people realize she would be leagues better than trump
but republicans have to believe that she would be worse otherwise they would have to admit they fucked over their own country

then you have users like southcoast who hate america so he genuinely likes that trump is weakening relations with their allies while trying to strengthen his bonds with brutal dictators

Yeah, for people around my age at least, in republican households, we grew up in the 90's when the Clintons were just the utmost of all evil, lol. So I can understand that its hard to shake that feeling, and its not like she's amazingly awesome or anything. I think she'd be better but a lot of that has more to do with the republican brand... Trump is just outright killing it, which I suppose liberals should thank him for. Hillary may end up doing worse things as President had she won but the GOP could not be an utter joke by 2020... its about the long term game plan.

I just can't wrap my mind around it. I mean I was much more REPUBLICAN OR BUST during W Bush's time in office and would be willing to explain away a lot that I disagree with now, but I'd still be willing to say certain things were bad ideas from time to time.

Yeah.

There are probably cases out there where women blatantly make less then they should, but often its a matter of different jobs or different levels of experience, etc. Like its still more common for a woman to take some time away from a career to raise kids, so when going back into the work force will have less experience than a man of the same age in the same field so thus might be paid less initially.

I forget the story exactly, a friend of mine I think willingly let someone borrow his car, but it was supposed to be a quick trip and they just totally ran off with it or something, and ended up wrecking it? Was a long time ago.

My dad works for a car dealership driving new vehicles back to town that they buy at auction, and one time the crew he was on was getting back really late so they were told to just go home and bring the cars in in the morning. My dad had some big fancy pickup, and left it in the driveway overnight, but apparently someone tried to steal something from underneath it? I'm not a mechanic guy so I dunno what would be under there that people would want? But, the thief failed, AND left his wallet with ID under the truck, lol.

Like Skye said, past the original, not a lot of great King Kong films. Son is usually lowly regarded, VS Godzilla and KK Escapes are *fun* but not necessarily *good*, some people like the first remake but I don't think it's widely praised, and it's sequel was complete trash, so... yeah, Peter Jackson's Kong is pretty good in comparison. After all you may not fully be aware of what your ancestors did during the 1800's/early 1900's.
Hell, how do you know for sure what they're even telling you is the truth?

my grandma had a scar on her forehead from when some boys threw rocks at her for not speaking English well in gradeschool. :v

What about your great grand parents or the people before them?
Anywhere between AD 1- 1865, slavery was widespread like 99% of the world.
No country on earth was safe from it, and almost every civilization on earth has had its hand on it.

If we back that far then pretty much all races were enslaving their own or other races, that doesn't really have anything to do with "white guilt."

But yeah, its dumb. Even *if* your ancestors were terrible and had slaves, you didn't so it's not your problem. In my case my ancestors fought for the North in the Civil War.

I dunno, I grew up in a pretty mixed neighborhood and it seemed everyone was on an even playing field, locally.
