5. Borderlands 2

I have played this game with Icon, Zazi, Crasty, TLO, Rock, Wigs, MSG, Bartz and Icon's nephew. I don't know how many times I've played through it at this point. At least 20. Overclocked 8 is insane. Mr. Torgue and Handsome Jack are both top ten all time characters for me. I have no idea how 3 will be able to live up to this.

6. Super Mario Bros 3

The first game I ever bought with my own money saved up from doing chores and whatever else at age 4. Perfect platformer. Still the best Mario game. Kuribo's shoe, how has this thing not been back in new games.

7. Kirby Superstar

Still the definitive Kirby game 23 years later. Or is it 22. Whatever. The DS version btw is fantastic. This is about the only game I ever played with my brother. We never really gamed together. There is a wonderful blend of challenge and easy fun here. And lots of different things to do.

8. Final Fantasy 9

Garnet is my favorite female character in the FF series. Zidane has grown on me over the years.This game is everything I think they wanted Final Fantasy to be on the NES but couldn't do at the time. Amazing music in this one. Chocobo Hot and Cold is somehow fun in its tedious nature and Tetra Master beats the snot out of Triple Triad. Also lots of mogs.

9. Chrono Cross

I beat this game 3 times in three weeks when it came out. I watched that trailer/intro for the game probably a thousand times. Spoilers Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time, so i was pretty damn hyped for this. It was fantastic but couldn't compare. Nothing could.

10. Super Smash Bros Melee

I played this game for seven years. Then Brawl came out and I never touched it again. Smash U made Brawl pointless and moved Melee back ahead of Brawl despite me liking it less. Melee and 64bother offer something fairly unique. Brawl no longer does. This game took so many hours from me. I played it with various friend groups. Kirby main. Bowser second. Ended up with Samus as a third to counter Fox spam from people. My Samus play aggravated my Fox friends so much.

11. Borderlands

Amazing. Hilarious. I generally don't like FPS but I mean god this game. My old roommate talked this game up for ages before it came out so I go it because whatever. I had a blast. I wish I had been more activegaming on the board at that point so i could have played this with people. But Borderlands 2 fixed that problem....

12. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

I am so so so glad this is getting ports to systems people actually own. Please all buy it so we can get sequels. Captain Toad is the essence of pure fun. Bring the Captain to Smash! Give me an amiibo! Captain Toad for the next character battle!

Killing random animals seems way more important for crafting stuff than anything else if only because plants are stupidly abundant

13. Uncharted 2

4 > 2 > 3 > 1

One hell of a series and 2 is nearly perfect for this genre. My only real complaint is Those damn blue guys. This game took everything 1 did and improved it. All the issues were resolved except for that thing with the supernatural hogwash .

The second best Telltale game behind season 1 of Walking Dead. Absolutely hilarious. Loader Bot is a gem.

16. Cosmic Star Heroine

That stuff I said about I Am Setsuna, this game did it. Beautiful pixel art. Great 90's feel. I loved every second of this game. Super highly recommend. Also a cool unique battle system you can do some cool stuff with.

I love Tetris and would like to think I am one of the best players on B8. Tetris DS and The New Tetris on N64 are probably the two best versions.

18. Legend of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

The best Zelda ever. So deliciously unique and the right level of challenging. Great songs and areas. Tons of the lore of games everyone loves was born here. Maybe someday we'll get another Zelda game like this. LOL

19. I Am Setsuna

I am really enjoying this make 90's style jRPGs rebirth. They aren't as good but are still pretty cool. I'm not the biggest fan of the low end 3D graphics. I wish they would do pixel style. New Square games with like FF6 graphics or Chrono Trigger graphics. Yes please. Setsuna is a simple story that is charming.

20. Perfect Dark

The best PvP FPS ever. Borderlands is better as an FPS but man the nights in high school playing this were excellent. Great balance and guns. Dark Sims are the bomb diggity. Meat Sims are cool too.

Truly amazing game. We are firmly into games that feature in my personal top 100. For 3D Mario games.

3D World > Odyssey > 3D Land > Galaxy 2 > Galaxy > Sunshine > 64

22. Mega Man X

The best of the X series and 3rd best Mega Man game. Storm Eagle is my jam. Armored Armadilo is a boss. Spark Mandrill is the best Christmas lights.

Bartz, Wigs and MSG know how much fun it is to hate on this game because it's not as good the other ones. It's still a great game though. Plus its super Australian. Converter.

24. SSX Tricky

The best SSX game. I loved the original and played it for ages and this one improved in every way. 3 and the most recent one are also very good. We need more SSX.

The gameplay is awful. The story however is beautiful. The entire final two hours is as close to perfect as it could be. When Ocelot and Snake stab each other with the energy things man... so perfect

32. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

A good game. Never understood how people came to the opinion it's the best ever. Wind Waker is a better 3D Zelda. Haven't got to Breath of the Wild yet but it looks better too.

34. NHL 11

I played NHL 07 for 6 years. I refused to accept the drastic change and controls and complete removal of the old one. They added the old scheme again years later but super dumbed down. Anyway NHL 13 was my return to the series and I adapted to the controls. 11 was good but I mostly missed it because of being stubborn.

39. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

Rented this randomly years ago with a friend. Gameplay was really weird but the game was addictive as hell. Story was really interesting and the presentation was outstanding. I highly recommend this rare gem.

40. Pokemon RSE

Only XY is a worse Pokemon game. Haven't finished SM but it also seems worse. Anyway these were fun games. Not the best but still good. Mudkip. Crawdaunt. MEGA BUTCH SWAMPERT
