I had the same question. What if you look away for a half second, and then look again for 5 more seconds? You could get away with being more of a creep because you're now operating under an objective guideline meant to dictate a subjective behavior.

Consciousness isn't just a single stream, it's a conglomerate of 'streams' that make up your consciousness. A portion of it is asleep while you sleep.

I like this interpretation. Even though I always knew it, I never thought about how I still have my IRL personality in my dreams, so clearly not everything relating to conciousness is shut off during sleep.

But still, that conglomeration of 'streams' of conciousness doesn't last very long, because it only exists in the moment. It only feels like a stream because your memory is reminding you of how you felt, not because your conciousness actually stretches that far back in time. At least that's just my theory.

For me, it's like I'm dying and coming back to life. Sometimes I think about events that happened in the past, whether it's 30 min ago, or 15 years ago, and I feel that, whatever 'conciousness' I had then is not the same stream of conciousness I'm feeling right now, so, it wasn't even technically 'me' feeling that.

I get that it's possible for there to be a girl you think is 'conventionally attractive' without being personally that attracted, but if you're also friends with them, how would you not feel obligated? Idk. Having someone you both like and are attracted to is the perfect combo. But only if you tap into it. Why would you not tap into that potential? Even if it's just casual, the sex is better not only because they're hot, but because you like all the specific things about them. If it's not casual, then the relationship already has a good footing. Most people are just trying to look for someone they like and think is hot.

It's like, "we are good friends, but we could be something way better, but I need to make that decision if I want it or not". And you're bound to have that dialogue in your head at least at some points during the friendship. Why even have that be a factor at all? With a female friend you find unattractive, or just another male friend (obv assuming you're a straight male), all that happens is "we are good friends". No addendum. Just friends and that's where the potential stays because it literally cannot go anywhere forward. You can be best friends, but that's still just a version of friends.

The fact that you find them attractive means that clearly you like something about them. That stuff can't be shoved aside 100%. Why even have to deal with repressing even 1% of that?

You're pushing what I'm saying to an extreme. I'm not saying the girl herself has no values just cause she's hot. To me it just seems like, either make it something better or just move on. There are plenty of people to be friends with.

Imagine the reverse scenario, like if someone literally smelled like shit all the time. Instead of positive sexual attraction, it's negative smell repulsion. Something your body/instincts are telling you is there. Even if they are a cool/good person, just like, why deal with that at all? Wouldn't you be like, hey you smell like shit? Or would you just be like "so what they smell like shit at least they're a good friend". You either let them know and they change it (they take a shower), or if they really odn't want to, you just move on. No matter how good of a friend they are, you can always just make friends that don't smell like shit.

You can only be friends with your S/O and nobody else. For some reason just nobody likes you and wants to be your friend, but you have a very compatible S/O. Not perfect (cuz it doesn't exist) but still as good as it can get.

You can make friends with pretty much anyone you want to, almost unreal levels of socialization, BUT that friendship can never convert into an S/O. I've only seen the first (two) episodes and I enjoyed it. Thinking of watching through it. Is it good? Kinda reminds me a little of TLA, as in, seemingly anime roots but Western style humor/characters, with some cool magic fights.

It's definitely a well-made puzzle game, and pretty difficult, but I think I realized something. I like puzzle games when the mechanics are interesting. The mechanics are pretty plain and the overall goal of the game is sorta uninteresting. The puzzles push the plain mechanics pretty far but the interaction with the world and stuff just is bland. It makes it so that I'm not motivated to keep pushing through roadblocks as opposed to really trying to toy around with the mechanics.

64 doesn't have nearly the same amount of options (more importantly, defensive options) and the ledge game is less intricate. I think it's a little too punishing because it really is like 1st hit wins. I hate fighting Fox and Falco so I can only imagine how annoying fighting a million Kirbys and Pikachus are. At least Fox and Falco have weaknesses

I'm hooked. It's such a creative breath of fresh air compared to other fighting games I've played. I think SF5's boredom is the source but Melee's ridiculously deep engine kept me going. You have so many options of movement, controlling space, and how you should kill the opponent. It's so precise too. Feels like I'm speedrunning a really intricate platformer while I'm playing a crazy fighting game at the same time. And also, the more stuff you master, the more options you have at your disposal which inherently makes you better.
