I think the problem isn't necessarily that animals are getting eaten, the problem is the treatment of animals that are destined to be somebodies dinner. I love eating meat, eating animals, etc. it's great and there's a lot of evidence supporting the eating of animals to maintain adequate health, being vegan is not the answer.

I just wish slaughterhouses and farms were more humane. I wish there wasn't so much use of hormones and chemicals to make animals tastier or bigger etc. I also have some religious/spiritual concerns as to whether animals that live horrible lives produce meat that isn't toxic due to the way it may have lived or died.

Go to whole foods, buy meat that is rated "step 4" only. "Step 1" is your garden variety factory farmed trash.

There you go, done, easy.

Be prepared tho, shit is expensive. I would know because I only eat step 4 meats, pasture raised, organic, free roaming, wild caught.
