| barrysshoes 01/02/18 10:20:58 AM #38 | All minimum wage does is reward employees for performing at a bare minimum level while not rewarding those employees who go above and beyond to perform at their jobs. $14/hour employee who started at $9/hour two years ago gets a raise to $15/hour with minimum wage increase. Employee who has no previous job experience or motivation to move up in the company gets $15/hour. That's fair, right? Minimum wage law increases MUST also include a caveat that increases the wage above the proposed minimum of those already employed by their current company. Let's say current minimum wage is $10 and it is going to increase to $15. That's a 50% increase in pay. If someone is currently making $14, they should be bumped up to $21 once the $15 minimum wage takes effect. Or something like that. |

Judging meat temperature is easier than frying an egg if you know what the meat should feel like when you touch it as it is cooking. Any "professional" could have their meat stored for days. Might even be frozen (yuck). And there's no guarantee they, or their supplier, were utilizing basic safe food handling procedures in the process prior to cooking it. Garbo cuts, as you put it, are not any more likely to carry diseases than prime cuts. It's all about the time from butchering to table. Killing a deer and eating its heart within minutes is WAY safer than eating venison heart cooked medium at a restaurant a day after it was killed. |

They could by legalizing it and establishing brothels, but then the taboo surrounding it with the soccer moms and diehard religious nutjobs would prevent any government official from signing it into law in fear of not being re-elected. But then people usually respond with "selling sex for money is dangerous because the woman is alone, might catch/spread an STD, and will get into drugs". Newsflash: prostitution is not a direct cause of any of those scenarios and a random hookup without money being exchanged brings along the same risks. In either instance, both parties are consenting to a potential sexual act. It seems like everyone thinks prostitution = rape. Where are the laws preventing slutbags from having multiple children from multiple fathers (and vice versa) while having to raise themselves and their children on welfare? THAT is a major fucking issue. |
