I started with lagers, pale ales, and the occasional malt liquor then moved on to heavy hitting IPAs. Take your time, experiment, and take mental notes. Give everything at least 2-3 tries before making a final judgment. I can honestly say that with every passing day I hate the crap out this place more and more. A bunch of bandwagon fans and/or over privileged snobs. Mainly techies from other parts of the country who think they're holier than though ruined the culture here and they infect California like a plague. Went to Napa, LA, and Santa Cruz to find them. Ideally I'd live in Hawaii with the only relatives I give a damn about or I'd own a plot of land in the wood with a bar being 5 minutes away. Sorry for the rant. The beer and whiskey has unleashed my frustration with this city and this state. (Currently at a bar stating this.
