Huh? I thought benzos were supposed to be close to phenibut in effect. But phenibut does anything except numb you into "I don't care" status.

IDK why anyone would want to numb themselves that way even if it meant lowering anxiety. Just not worth it becoming a zombie. And I say that as someone with a SHITLOAD of anxiety.

I do phenibut. It definitely takes fear away. It however doesn't numb you. Phenibut engages you, this withdraws you. But both are great for anxiety.

And yeah I agree. Its stupid abusing this but I can see why people do unfortunately. It's easier not to worry than worry.

Oh, I know. The reason I actually have these two pills is to help me with withdrawals off something else lol. I learned my lesson. Plus, this isn't for me, recreationally. Takes the edge off, but for recreation, I find this boring.

Yep. Benzo withdrawals suck. I don't envy anyone who goes through them. My step cousin was literally blue as she was shaking from a seizure during withdrawals.

This is my first time seriously taking a benzo (lorazapam aka Ativan).

Everything is... Okay. I don't care. I'm fine. Slightly tired and my eyes are heavy, but I think I can behave somewhat normal.

Easy to see why this can be abused. At first it seems like an easy way through life. My step moms niece had a major Valium addiction. She was a walking zombie for years. Thankfully she kicked the habit.

I'm going to use my other pill for an extreme situation. Knowing it works.

Anyone ever try these things? Anyone ever develop a problem?

Yeah, I do use it sometimes and find it as a comforting, anxiety easing herb. I also have a lot of experience with Kratom which is similar, but a bit more effective and aids in pain relief, but not 100% legal everywhere. It's easily obtainable except for a rare few states in the US.

Gaba is also an excellent night time supplement and is very relaxing.

Haha, it's interesting seeing other people who know kratom. I'm very familiar with it actually. I've been unfortunately doing it daily for 8 years, and doing around 40 grams a day now for a couple of years. I love the herb, hate my addiction. Going through the process of stopping because I'm going over to a certain south east Asian country where it's illegal. Hence the reason I'm messing around with other stuff. Hoping kava gets me past the first 4-5 days.

It's nice, but as you said, not as nice as kratom. Kratom was so nice that I haven't touched a drink or pot in 7 years. Now it's time to go completely straight.

And I haven't had any success with GABA. Apparently it doesn't really cross the BBB that readily. I do find l theanine good, especially with a coffee. 5 HTP and St Johns Wort made me feel horrible. Valerian root is nice for sleep, but doesn't feel good (nor bad, just makes you sleep).

One that I would highly recommend though is phenibut, if you like GABA. It's GABA with a phenyl ring attached to it, making it easy to feel. Just do some research on it, if you are interested. It's very effective. Widely available and legal everywhere.

There is legit kava you can buy online, where you prepare it traditional island style. But I bought some capsules at a local vitamin store, and wow-y, i feel amazing. It's not like other supplements where hey just make you tired and groggy. I feel super warm and slightly euphoric.

Anyone have experience with this completely legal, widely available herb?

The other three big North American citiies, NYC, Toronto and Chicago, are all known for having many high rise and skyscrapers. Wikipedia shows they are miles ahead of the next city. The skylines are all visually striking and grandiose.

But LA, which is fucking huge, doesn't have many buildings. The skyline looks like an unremarkable medium sized city.

Why is this? Is it natural disasters? West coast having a different city planning mentality? Something else?

And any cause to fire me? I took one day off earlier in the week. Which, to inform everyone, was my first day I took off in two years. I never called in sick. Never took a holiday. Taking one day off shouldn't be a valid reason to fire, right?

At least in the US your former employer has to partially pay into it, so more spiteful companies will fight your claim to it and make up reasons to try and keep you from getting any.

My buddy told me about this. Three questions.

How do I know if I was fired or let go?

Will me travelling overseas be a problem for unemployment?

And finally, are there any downsides to this? There's always something.

I don't think there's a difference between fired and let go. The company can always contest your unemployment by arguing you were removed for doing something illegal, but they'd have to provide evidence. Either way, "let go" is much easier to get unemployment than "fired" because there's no associated cause.

You travelling won't be a problem if you maintain a permanent address in the states, although being able to cash said checks might be hard.

Downsides? None that I know of. This is kind of what unemployment was made for.

Awesome. I'm from Canada but should be the same as the US. I could get my dad to cash the cheques and etransfer me the money. Awesome.

I've worked at this place. Money was good. It was fun. And easy.

But I hated my boss. I hated my boss more than you can ever imagine. I've never felt so much hate in my life.

So I worked there 2 years. I made enough money to go to Thailand and live there a while (maybe for good if I find an opportunity). My flight is next month.

I was going to come in today, and give my two weeks (though I think she would've said "no need for two weeks").

But I wasn't scheduled. My confident told me I was let go. They found someone else (true reason: she hated me as much as I hated her).

I feel crappy. Two years of dreaming of my extravagent exit. And I was let go 48 hours before I can go through with it.

Oh well. I'm going far away from snow in 3 weeks so I ain't that mad.

Anyone else ever in m position? Any good quitting stories? Or getting fired stories?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenylacetic_acid

So... off the bat, no, they're different compounds with the beta-butryic acid rocking an extra amide (NH2) functional group. As for how they'll differ when, say, ingested or used in the creation of a different homebrewed substance I have no clue and/or need more specifics.

Awesome. Thanks.

Phenibut is a thing I ingest. Legal pretty much everywhere. But the country I'm going to has phenylacetic acid banned. Got me worried that my supplement my might be illegal.

So in your scientific opinion, they are different chems and should not carry the same legal ramifications?

Philadelphia freaked me out. The airport was dirty as hell and it was like being at a mall with the kiosks and people trying to sell you shit. And the city itself... I mean you have all this awesome history but it felt like I was going to get robbed as soon as the sun went down.

I imagine Detroit being like this. I'm going next week and I'm nervous and excited. I'm expecting it to look like District 9.

What's the worst city you've been to?

I think it's a close race between Windsor, ON and Buffalo, NY. Bleak, depressing, poor.

I remember driving down a street one night in Buffalo and I saw this older black women walking zombified on the street. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen. She looked through me.

Niagra Falls on the American side is crappy too. The Canadian side is like a mini Las Vegas with campy amusement stuff. The American side was just... Poor?

I don't like upstate NY. Sorry. NYC is jaw dropping and one of the most beautiful places I've been too. Too bad it's a whopping 8 hour drive for me.

Good luck.

Yep. I don't know much how it works but apparently 1 Bitcoin is worth 20 thousand now.

You can get girls for long time from the bars for about $100/night (more if they are at go go's or extremely hot). Short time is as low as $40.

That's an insane amount of money. I wasn't expecting that high. I thought 40 bucks would be premium.

I'm guessing the girls there are very well off?

First time I went I planned to stay for a month, I ended up there for 5 months.

Last question for tonight.

How did you end up staying 5 months? I wanted to do that but according to the Thai Visa website it needs to be Business, Marriage, education or retirement purposes. I don't fit any of those (though I would want to work there if I could).

Can I just decide to stay longer?
