The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. Theres also Ricks nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that theyre not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldnt appreciate, for instance, the humour in Ricks existential catchphrase Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenevs Russian epic Fathers and Sons. Im smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmons genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. Fascism is reactionary in nature, and rooted in deep nationalism and militarism. Fascist movements often start with the desire to either restore a supposed former glory to a nation or bring a community into a new, golden age. Fascism opposes diversity and focuses on uniting the people (or at least those who meet "the standard") under a massively powerful state who controls virtually all affairs within the nation they rule over. Finally, fascist movements will often try and blame a group of people (ethnic/religious/etc) for the previous failures of a nation. Boring motivations, received a stupid amounts of plot armour and got to kill way too many characters. As satisfying as his death was, it should have happened sooner. Sand Snakes too, they didn't get too much screen time but it all sucked. Finally, I honestly feel like (In season 7 in particular) they copped out with killing "good characters". Having a popular character like Bronn be incinerated by Drogon or having Tormund and Beric get ripped apart by White Walkers would have reminded the audience that truly no one is safe in GoF (and I say that as someone who likes all of those characters). --- You know you love me...
