I use Firefox on my work laptop and yeah, this is a pretty huge upgrade there. That laptop is a steaming hunk of junk though so I'd be curious how it works on my home PC, but I'm way too entrenched in Chrome there to bother testing it.

What other games of actual significance are still trapped in 360 limbo? Only other one I could think of until recently was Dead Rising 1 but that's on PC now. My 360 RROD'd immediately after I finished Vesperia and I basically felt nothing.

Tag! I've been trying to dive into the world of comics and felt like I was at a really good point to do so with Rebirth, but I feel like I've gone and gotten myself lost again. I maintain that Suicide Squad is a potentially great movie that was edited horribly. The pieces felt like they were all there, but they were just put together really sloppily.

So with a 75% cut we're at 1,132 hours to unlock/upgrade everything or about $525 of real cash thrown down? It's funny because even with a 75% slash those numbers are still completely fucking bananas for a full priced game. Sincerely hope people don't look at this as a win.

LoL feels like an improvement since you can actually get skins by playing now rather than them being fully gated behind spending money.

There are ways to do loot boxes right. I would point to OW but their over-reliance on season boxes and time limited content isn't great tbh. EA's approach here feels like they were trying to achieve a cartoonish level of corporate moneygrabbing.

Various quality of life implementations and other things resulted in the western launch being basically a year or more ahead of Japan in terms of power scaling. Story should get a bit more challenging a couple of chapters from what we have now, but even then it probably won't be bad.

I initially had Guda-O on Okita for Support, but it looks like having Poster Girl on her is the way to go?

I'm still farming 20 AP for the second Guda-O.

If you have an Okita on support you'll probably get the most friend points from Guda-O. She's probably the only servant to put it on because nobody's going to pick anything other than Okita with Guda-O for support on the golden dailies.

Pretty much everyone else I'd say Poster Girl is the most valuable since most folks are going to spend the vast majority of this event farming 40 AP for pots.

Of course, I could be wrong!

I'm using Nobunaga, Emiya and Emiya support and the dragon always goes down in two turns. I pop evasion on both Emiyas in the first round just as a precaution but I don't even think three crits would kill them so it's not a big deal.

Maybe the difference is I'm using Poster Girl on all three, since I'm farming for pots? Those CEs aren't even leveled though so if you're using CEs you already had set it should close that gap.

I'm actually thrilled to have an excuse to use Robin Hood and Caesar. Bonus units are obviously to incentivize rolls, but they're also a neat way of forcing you to not just use your OP 5*s.

On another note, swordz, your salt is really showing in your last string of posts. I went exactly the same thing you did this event, it's just the nature of gacha. >_>

For all my failure at pulling Okita I did at least pull a full set of every pullable event CE, including Poster Girl. Grinding things besides points shouldn't be too bad at least, plus Poster Girl seems like it'd be a really solid CE if I max break it after the event!

Definitely a different game from FE:H, where you can reliably get a banner unit every time new units come out. Telling myself to consider that difference to not get salty.

Yeah if you overlook some in a hat room or something that can be pretty bad, but in that case the game is nice and tells you if you're missing something. Upon returning to one of them Cappy will have a line mentioning if you missed a moon or any coins, it's been pretty helpful!

Edit: Wow, 12 seconds apart and we both even ended with "pretty helpful."

I can also probably grind out one more 10 pull on top of those before the event ends, so there's hope! Kind of silly that you can save up for half a year and still have such a middling chance at what you want, though.

Purple coins are relatively easy to gather, anyhow. I got all of them in most worlds on my first pass through, and the only world I've been missing any in by the time I'm 100% done with the kingdom otherwise is Metro.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure you need all collectibles from the shops to get the Toadette moons.

I love Seaside, such a relaxing kingdom and actually good water exploration thanks to Cheep Cheeps and (especially) Gushens.

When I first beat the game, Sand was my least favorite kingdom because it felt really spread out without the cohesion/moon consistency of the other kingdoms. After going back to 100% it I definitely don't feel that way anymore, especially since the koopa race demonstrated you can get from one side to the other in no time flat. >_>

Thinking on it now, Lake is probably my least favorite. It's just too small and simplistic, plus a majority of the moons are just packed around the town. It's still a great world, with plenty of great moons, though. Really don't feel like there are any losers when it comes to this game beyond the two kingdoms that are pretty much just used for boss fights and have 10-ish moons.

Saw it last night - it was alright. Handily the best Thor movie but that bar was barely off the floor for me. Definitely don't think it's in the upper crust of Marvel - a lot of the humor was really forced, I was bored in a few stretches and it continued Marvel's more recent (and really frustrating) trend of being terrified of letting a serious moment breathe without cramming a joke in.

I mean, game costs on the consumer end technically have gone up. It's pretty commonplace now to release your game at $60 alongside a season pass of some kind or at the very least promised dlc, usually bringing the cost of the complete game up to $80-$90.

It feels really silly to me how much game development has inflated at this point. Absolutely genre-defining experiences like Silent Hill used to be made by a team of 10 people and cost a pittance to develop while the average forgettable AAA game these days has teams of thousands and costs hundreds of millions to put out.

Yeah I definitely think retro style games can make good use of lives for challenge. You're expected to be able to clear the world with the number of tries you're given - if you can't do it, you go back to the beginning and get better. Getting better at a game is the most satisfying part of playing video games IMO.
