Nah, I feel like the first season ended in a way that killed any interest one could have for further seasons.

Pretty much. If you like the podcast, you'll be generally entertained by the show. But yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember the podcast versions of the episodes.

I enjoyed playing Arkham Horror solo. But I'm not sure what you meant by abstract, so this is a maybe.

Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective can also be played solo to great effect.

Mage Knight is considered one of the best, but I've never played it.

I actually really like board games you can play solo. If you've ever tried designing a game, even just for fun, you quickly realize that games that can be played solo are a whole different animal.
