Majority of the time I have dessert when eating, especially dinner, especially when I'm out, but also at home

Literally today right after work I went to the ice cream shop a right next door (Van Leeuwen Ice Cream) and got a cup of the sweet corn maple crumble blueberry jam flavor

then around 8 o'clock I went to Chinatown After Dark and ordered this cause I saw it on instagram

I've found band shirts to be good conversation starters or just getting compliments and/or expressions of solidarity from strangers

like I've walked past a restaurant wearing my The Replacements shirt and a guy eating al fresco gave me a thumps up and said "cool shirt"

was crossing a street wearing a Sleater-Kinney shirt that I bought at their show when a car honked at me, and when I looked at the driver, she pointed at her shirt

bought a Jesus and Mary Chain shirt last week and wore it Thursday and a girl at the ice cream store said "i like your shirt"

I went to a Television show on just this Friday, bought a Marquee Moon shirt (not of the album cover art) , and the next day I wore it to a climbing competition and three different people talked to me about it

I just ordered a Pavement Crooked Rain shirt, partly because too many band shirts I bought are black

i lean towards the art rock / post punk / college rock / indie side of things if you couldn't tell though I'm planning on buying a Neil Young shirt from his official site

Looked up the prices. Their most expensive donuts are $3/ea

at Sidecar the average donut is $3.50, but they're pretty delicious, especially the malasada w/ haupia filling, which was one of the best thing I've ever eaten. too bad it was a seasonal (maybe even a one time thing?) flavor. I've only been there once

At the end of the day the people I meet can really only be called acquaintances. It's not a really true/deep friendship it's just someone to speak to/hang out with in the moment.

You're way overthinking things.

I think you two who replied so far are the ones overthinking things. You guys are the ones getting into "those aren't real friends" territory.

They aren't... I meet new people every weekend. They're just acquaintances. Talking to random people is "friendly" but I wouldn't call them "friends". Also it's pretty basic social interaction it's nothing crazy.

I know people you meet for the first time aren't friends. You're overthinking this topic.
