do_ob_tpkillr 11/01/17 3:33:15 AM #488	Looking back after that rant, I think the main reason why I was so mad is because all the time I invested in 1, 2 and 3 Despair/Future/Hope all got retconned. I read the wiki that V3 is supposed to be a reality parallel to the main reality where 1, 2 and 3 D/F/H occured. But still I can't fully unfeel the anger I felt when it was first revealed to me. Either way, edgy message be damned. Even the positivity in the epilogue feels forced, like some sort of damage control for people like me who weren't amused initially. Ranking time: Kaito - #1 Ultimate Bro. #1 Ultimate Hero. Maki - Kaito x Maki OTP aside, she did well substituting for Kaede alongside Kaito. I think she was lucky to have time on her side. If Kaede had as much time as Maki, she may not be this high anymore. Kibo - Chapter 6 alone raised his stock greatly, coupled with Kokichi's drop off in chapter 5. Kokichi - Very intelligent in his own right, but inevitably gets compared to Nagito, who he loses to. Being able to outwit Monokuma himself is a feat nobody will be able to take away from him. Kaede - Have good potential to be a funner protagonist than Shuichi. Needed Maki and Kaito together to completely fill her shoes. Kirumi - My personal waifu #1. Tenko - Broke through her misandry nonsense to prove herself as a devoted friend. Shuichi - I really think he should've kept his cap, at least as a Roronoa Zoro gimmick (i.e. wears his cap during trials.). While I acknowledge his storyline growth, I expected way more from him since he's the PROTAGONIST. Himiko - What a successful Hiyoko would look like. Gonta - A good man. Depressing way to die, having no first hand knowledge of why he did what he did. Never really had a proper arc for him though. Angie - Like I said, I respect her in the sense that I respect her surprising threat level. Ryoma - The only thing he has going for him was his motive video. But it's also from here on where I have an overall positive opinion on him/her. Rantaro - His backstory as the Ultimate Survivor was pretty interesting. Korekiyo - Absolute mad man. A ticking time bomb from the start like Miu. Miu - Trash human being all round. Loud, rude, can't even hold her nerve at the slightest challenge from her insult target. There's also her cowardly and murderous intentions in chapter 4 Tsumugi - Responsible for most of my grief. Pointlessly lengthening the trial, circling around the same topic with the guests for hours on end.

do_ob_tpkillr 10/31/17 10:06:19 PM #477	Ok. Here's my chapter 6 thoughts. Is this the first time that I feel angry and upset at a video game ending? Maybe. Maybe not. I never liked fourth wall breaking. Never cared for self-aware humour. I can take some no problem, but V3 took the fourth wall, smashed it into bits, then smashed the third, second and first wall, ground all the rubble into dust, then spat on it while kicking the dust around. I feel upset that in half a chapter, they've retcon everything and made everything I went through in 1, 2, 3 Despair Arc, 3 Future Arc and the past 5 chapters in V3 meaningless. "I just woke up; It was all a dream" types of stories are the absolute worst. Having a retrial for Kaede was a fantastic idea. The rest of the trial is just Tsumugi and the rest going around in circles on Fact vs Fiction with no end in sight. Like the dirty water trying to swirl down the drain after you did a big load of dishes. Except that the water is just swirling at the drain hole, circling and circling but refusing to go down. It was tedious and tiresome. Ending the whole thing at 3 am with a 7:30 am deadline looking over my head didn't help either. I get it. The writers want to stir up a debate on Reality vs Fiction. About how we as the audience might have been indirectly cruel to these characters. But do it in a separate article outside, not abruptly chop off a storyline that I have been engrossed in. Call me "getting worked" all you want. Say that I'm exactly the evil group of people that Shuichi and gang were talking about. I will not budge from my position. Why even do a final character ranking anymore? They're all a dream, all imagination, all fiction. Non-existent. If the writers really wanted to wash their hands off completely of the series, they should've just left it at the end of DR3 Hope Arc. I don't want to say that I've completely soured on the entire series (assuming if they create another danganronpa game again despite seemingly posting a final goodbye in this game) or the developers, because I like everything that I had prior to this chapter. But this chapter is just bullshit.

The video clearly showed no floor bloodstain, hence I thought they shot at a different location. Took me 2 game overs to figure out a good skillset and strategy to trial and error without dying.

Doesn't make sense thinking back now, considering that he made Kaito drink the antidote. Buuuut lets drop that for now. Felt feels can't be unfelt. Not within such a short window anyway. I don't think I have the strength to binge the entire chapter 6 in one night. My target is to make it to investigation phase by the end of tonight, clear the investigation by the end of tomorrow night, then clear the trial by the end of Wednesday night.

Plus Kaito was dying anyway - he never even got executed!~~ I believe your line of logic only works if we assume that Kokichi knows that Kaito is severely ill. But afaik Kokichi only suspect that Kaito was unwell following their altercation at the end of chapter 4. So as far as Kokichi himself is concerned, Kaito is relatively healthy, nowhere near a dead man walking, and he's still going to drag Kaito down anyway. Kokichi's motivations for orchestrating this case has nothing to do with him wanting to protect Maki either.
