they all suck to be honest. the big ones at least.

i use Alliant Credit Union. i get a hefty 1.15% interest on my savings i think 0.65% on checking. compare that to like, chase/boa/wellsfargo's 0.003% or something around that. i also get free transfers in and out, and the customer service is great.

but i would go for a credit union. a local one. look around and see what's in your area.

also, if you're willing, you can open up a Brokerage account for free with Charles Schwab. if you open that, you also get a free checking account. their debit card gets ALL atm fees returned. no limit. ALL OF IT. and that includes OVERSEAS atm fees. its amazing.

its moreso Discover just pulling your credit info automatically. if you ever check your credit score off of https://www.annualcreditreport.com, youll see TONS of random inquires. i think chase does give stuff to people, but they tell you and you can ask them to stop.

yeah. chase likes at least 1 year of established credit history before giving our their cards. and for their high-tier CSR? odds weren't good

but hey, try again in october of next year!

but since you have 4 cards, be aware of the chase 5/24 rule. they will deny you certain cards (the reserve being one of them) if they see that you have 5 new credit card accounts in the last 24 months (2 years). since your oldest card is from last october, i assume you're 4/24, meaning you can still get the CSR, but nothing before that.

2. Overall Credit Balance is too low. I know that the Credit Limit on my accounts are

BP: $2600

Discover IT:$2000

Capital One: $4600

regarding this, the CSR is a Visa Infinite Card, meaning the MINIMUM credit limit is 10,000. if chase sees that no one else has given you at least 10k in limits, they won't either, and thus the rejection.

its hard to say how to get a limit of at least 10k. you could try to increase your credit limits with your cards already (but only if they DON'T do a hard pull). or you could try getting a credit card from a local credit union. they're pretty liberal with credit limits (my first card was a chase amazon, 2600 limit. next card was from my credit union, at 11k lol). but again, doing so will put you at 5/24 and thus, unable to get the card.

its tricky. but with the CSR and your cards i would do this:

-Try to get your established card's limits up. this can be by requesting them or just by them doing it automatically. read this for some tips: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/credit-cards/which-credit-card-companies-do-a-hard-pull-for-a-credit-limit-increase/

-if that doesn't work, try to get a credit card from your credit union.

-dont get a card until november of 2018, most of your cards have no fee so keep them open, keep them paid, and keep your credit score high. keep trying to get your limits up during this time. then apply and reap in those rewards!
